"Pleasantly surprised"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
I usually stay at budget hotels but decided on this trip to India to stay a little nicer. There is no hotel closer to the international airport than this, but you don't ever hear a plane. Since it is about the same cost as a decent hotel in a major city of the US, I set my expectations there. The hotel is very nice! The large open atrium through the whole building is beautiful. The water fountains, skylights and piano player added a nice ambiance. The rooms are just as nice as the photos with every comfort. Internet is a little expensive, but this is not the US where Internet is often free. Beds are OK, but good for India. I'm used to a 5" memory foam pad on my bed. These were much harder and a little lumpy. Felt like a mattress pad on top of hard mattress, but the pad was a little worn. Still, I slept well. The buffet for breakfast was great. Far, far above anything free in the US. This is a full meal with great variety and quality. More like a small-scale buffet at a casino in Vegas (much smaller, but you get the idea).
"Fabulous service and amazing breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Superb service, great gym with a view, excellent restaurants in hotel and private car with driver to see the sights of Mumbai.
"Quiet leisure"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
This hotel is delightful. The rooms, halls, and public spaces were all lovely and aesthetic. Service was excellent. The food was particularly outstanding. Very close to the international airport, this is the perfect spot to relax in busy Mumbai.

The Residence Hotel and Apartments was a good choice due to the location to IIT Bombay. I did enjoy the fact this hotel is not a luxury hotel and was not an oasis away from the surrounding community. The hotel was mostly filled with Indian business travelers. As an American business woman traveling alone I was comfortable and felt safe.
"Good breakfast, good service, reasonableprice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 31, 2013
This is a nice hotel not too far from the International airport. They have a great breakfast and good service overall. Wish the airport transfers were included in the room rate - they used to be.

After 24+ hours of travel time on my way to Kolkata, this was a welcome rest.

"Excellent Service, Rooms Need Updating"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 9, 2013
It's a convenient 20-30 minutes from the airport. The service was quite good -- many staff members seem genuinely friendly and happy to help, well versed in interacting with international travelers -- and the breakfast was good in the Club Lounge. However, many things in our room did not work: you can't change the freezing temperatures, only turn the AC unit on and off. The iHome system, bathroom scale, and fancy schmancy cappuccino machine were broken. Floor boards and bed were a bit frayed. Rooms are very small. Excellent housekeeping. Our rooms were very clean. Hotel provided a crib on request, which we deeply appreciated. Thanks for a good stay, overall.
