for a budget hotel this was good value, the room was clean as was the bathroom, A/C worked, no loose wires and a comfortable bed. It is a bit further out from the centre but there is a railway station 15 mins walk or 40R in an autorickshaw with trains every 20 mins oe so to Egmore. Hotrel is off a main road so was also quiet, veg restuarant below and a trendy meat one round the corner, no WIFI but internet cafe at end of the road taxi from airport 220R about an hour - half that at night but taxi will then be double !

We wanted a hotel close to the airport for one night, to catch an early morning flight. Hotel Mars fit the bill very nicely. Great service, decent room, reasonable price. The shuttle to the airport was the clincher. I would recommend this hotel if all you want is a clean bed for the night.
