"Slightly dated rooms but excellent service"

I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Chennai. I stayed for 2 nights on business recently. The public areas of the hotel are absolutely beautiful. Very clean and very impressive. The rooms are dated but clean. I found the service a the Sheraton Park to be really impressive. After several days traveling in India at other hotels I had been very unimpressed by the hotel service up to that point, but I was very pleased to find the staff at the Sheraton Park to be very attentive, very polite, and overall very pleasant. The one area that I found lacking was the room service. Both items that I ordered from the room service menu did not really match the description in the menu and were quite disappointing. There are several very good restaurants in the hotel, though, so I recommend going down to eat rather than ordering up. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for other business travelers.
"Like Coming Home to Dear Family"

This was a return visit from last year's first time stay; was welcomed and remembered as if I was family. I felt safe, secure, relaxed and at ease immediately upon arrival. Fabulous service, excellent cuisine and service, willing to go the length to satisfy all needs. Looking forward to next year!
"Very good hotel - commensurate with price."

Location is good on OMR IT expressway. Easy to find other local restaurants around including Subway right across. Hotel food and breakfast is good also. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast lounge is spacious and buffet has good variety including Japanese titbits. Rooms are good size with modern amenities and large flat panel TV. However, the channel options are limited and picture quality is not great. Wifi internet has decent speed.
"Not safe to walk, no other dining options"

Hotel itself is good. Clean with very friendly staff. No carpet in hotel, and I had lots of noise from elevator lobby come under the HUGE gap between the floor and the bottom of my door. Only like two channels in English.

Although the hotel staff were gracious and extremely accommodating, the "up sell" at the front desk was a bit much...wi fi, breakfast etc. The bathroom had a mirror with rust spots all along the edges. Liked the in bath clothes line. Room was spacious though the light buttons were a bit hard to figure out. Security is quite tight at all Indian hotels with checks of luggage, metal detectors, car inspections including bomb-sniffing dogs. Nevertheless, the security detail was quite pleasant.
