"Great Little Hotel on the outskirts of Cabo"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
El Ameyal is a wonderfully maintained smaller hotel that's away from the action of downtown Cabo. Rooms are very clean, modern, and spacious. We loved our 1 BR suite, very comfortable, had everything we needed (full kitchen, all utensils, microwave, blender, toaster, etc). Room also had 2 balconies with patio doors off the bedroom and living room. Staff was very welcoming and helped us with everything we asked them for or had questions about. Location is on main road into Cabo. Yes, you can hear the traffic, but the noise never really bothered us. It's about a 5 minute bus ride to downtown and bus pickup is right in front of hotel. Pool area is well maintained, quiet, and a nice place to spend the day. We would definitely return to El Ameyal on our next visit to Cabo.
"Fishing and visiting friends"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
My recent stay was very good, the normal uncomfortable questions concerning my Latina girlfriend are annoying but expected!! the location of this Hotel is so convenient to the central and Marina part of Cabo, that it makes everything you need, available with short walking distances.
"Amazing hotel - worth twice what I paid"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Had an amazing 5 night stay. Family vacation with an infant and 5 year old. HUGE room, great view. Old but nicely renovated hotel. Lot's of character. Quiet at night but a bit loud in the morning since they are remodeling surrounding properties. Staff was very attentive. Will go back.
"Great choice for budget stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
I was in Cabo on my way to some great beach adventures in La Paz and Magdalena Bay, so I was looking for clean and inexpensive, and got it! There was a bit of a musty smell, and one of the bedrooms with a King sized bed didn't have a window (didn't even look at it, but in hind site, it might have been the quieter choice!). The staff was fantastic, and as a female traveling alone, I felt quite comfortable, including walking to the marina and nearby restaurants alone after dark. If you are interested in the party scene, this hotel is only about 4 blocks from the party clubs (Hard Rock, Cabo Wabo). But, this hotel is also only about 4 blocks from the party noise, which can be heard, along with road traffic. Not sure there is anywhere in Cabo you won't hear that kind of noise though!. If I return to Cabo on a tight budget, I will look forward to returning.

"Great foods - perfect for laziness"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 1, 2013
Granted it's not the most luxurious resort but good enough for decent foods (love the deli for a morning espresso and sweets and the sushi bar for light dinner or in-between)
"everything was right there"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
The weather was great, the location was great they had all kinds of activities right there within walking distance. The shopping was about 5 minutes walking distance. The only thing i found out of line was the price for the food and beverages on the resort. We never thought we would spend in food and beverages what the extra was for the all inclusive. If money is not a problem this is a great resort. I have been to a few and this one has been the best eperience.

We have been to Esperanza three times, and it never disappoints. The service is impeccable and it's just delicious. We always look forward to our Esperanza weekends.
"Terrific beach, nice high volume hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 26, 2013
Good rooms, good food at a very fair price...lots of up and down climbing, but there are plenty of shuttles available to take care of that...if you get a room up the hill from the lobby you will hear the hvac units making noise all day/night and not hear the ocean waves...if good Internet service is important in your room, it might not be what you need, it was a disaster for us and there was no urgency to get it to work..they don't have the proper amount of modems to cover all the rooms
