"Perfect for what we needed"

Summer Time is an excellent choice for those wanting something close to main town yet not right in the middle of it. It's about a 15 euro cab ride away from the main port. Within 5 minutes walking distance of the main town of Fira. Our room was clean and made every day. Not many amenitites but Wifi is free and staff helpful with map and beach locations. My friend and I didn't purchase the breakfast in the morning as we went down the street to the bakery and grabbed a cappucino freddo on the way. Overall, we were really happy with our stay here and would definitely return.

"Fairly Affordable Hotel in a Great Location"

Fairly affordable hotel, in a great, picturesque location of Oia on Santorini. We were able to get the seaside view and it's definitely worth the extra costs to get the view even though the rooms seem to be smaller. Convenient walk to the center of Oia, a nice pedestrian path to Fira, and right by the bus station which will take you to Fira where it was easy enough to take additional buses to the beaches on the other side of the island.
"Beautiful Beachfront Hotel"

Loved the Boathouse! Beautiful hotel, right on the beach in Kamari. Lovely pool and lounge chairs, good little hotel bar by the pool, and completely surrounded by great restaurants. Plus, it is directly on the beach (I don't know why some reviews say it's a 5 minute walk to the beach - it's not, it is a 5 second walk!) We stayed in one of the non-ocean view rooms and actually liked it better than the ocean view rooms because we were on the second floor and had more privacy (the ocean view rooms are right in front by the pool). We still had our own little porch/balcony area and the cutest blue shuttered windows. The power was out through all of santorini when we arrived, but we didn't mind much and were given candles. Staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations. Kamari is a very fun beach, the water is beautiful, but the sand is rockier than in Perissa (though Kamari is located a little more centrally to other parts of the island than Perissa is - and it's a 10 minute boat ride away). Downsides: a smell coming from the bathroom (I suspect this may be an issue on the island in general during certain times of the year, but I don't know for sure), hot water in the shower was not consistent (but it was very hot out, so also didn't mind too much), and proximity to the airport meant planes flying overhead were quite loud (but didn't happen too often, maybe 5 or 6 times a day as far as I noticed).
"beautiful beach and pool"

The hotel has a beautiful pool, clean rooms and excellent service! Owner makes delicious breakfast and is always around making sure guests are comfortable. The beach is just a few minutes away and it was the best of the all beaches we went to during this trip. There are restaurants at the beach to suit every taste. We specially liked Afro for the fresh fish. It's not that convenient to get to but you can take the Perivolos bus just a 5 minute walk away.

It was a week in paradise. The young brothers who operate this family-owned hotel and beach cafe treated us as though we were part of the family. Everything was pristine fresh and clean, and the air itself smelled of cedar and fields of wildflowers and the sea. From our balcony, every view was postcard quality. Our room was big, with high cool ceilings, and an equally spacious bathroom. The pool area is lovely. Across the road, the hotel's umbrellas and lounges are wonderful, with boardwalks across the hot black sand. The young men bring your food and drinks out to your chairs. This hotel is absolutely perfect. I give this hotel my highest recommendation.

This is a good option is you are looking for a comfortable, clean hotel with really helpful personnel who will go the extra mile to make you feel at home... the only bad things about this stay:
The rooms are too cold if you visit in other time of the year that is not summer... the heater in the rooms do not work porperly...
Wireless internet does not work... I had to work in the holidays and the hotel ended up lending me their internet connection in the lobby and plugged it to my laptop...
Breakfast is good but it lacks variety... boiled eggs, omelette and crepes are the only options... and it gets old really quickly...
TV has just a few channels... but well, TV is not the reason why you go to Santorini anyway...
Other than that the hotel is a pretty solid option... I would recommend it as a reliable low-cost option... the staff is truly helpful and they give you advices and guidance about what to do and where to go... enjoy guys!! I would def go back to Drossos hotel...
While the hotel is not a four star facility the staff certainly acts like it. They are incredibly eager to help in any way they possibly can. They go way beyond what I think most people would expect. We had a wonderful time.

We liked the location on the black beach and the many pools, but just a warning that it is not as luxury a hotel as it appears in the photos, and it doesn't compare to luxury beach hotels in the US. Amenities are basic, there is no hot tub, and though the room is clean and comfortable, it's not what I"d consider a luxury room worth the price they charge.
