"Good buy in great neighborhood"Reviewed by Gaia S. of "Annapolis, MD" on Jun 30, 2011
Basically, this was a good buy for the price in a great neighborhood, assuming you want to stay in New town. Near great beaches, excellent restaurants, Casino, aquarium, and easy walking distance to Old Town, bus stops, etc. We were able to take the airport bus into town and walk with our suitcases without problems. Nothing special in terms of amenities (although the pool was very nice, and I'm a lap swimmer), decent breakfast, friendly staff, but just a tad seedy (the comments about the dirty, worn carpet in the hall seemed to be true, although we had no problems with air conditioning or extra charges). Overall, a clean budget hotel in a super location (loved the public beach across the street and the Internet cafe next door--we seem to have problems finding free Internet at Greek hotels, but this was a pretty good compromise).
"close to airport"Reviewed by wally m of "Boston" on Jun 29, 2011
We needed a place close to the airport since we were leaving at 6AM. Esmerelda was very inexpensive. For what it cost, I was impressed with the hotel. It is located in the heart of Kermasti about 2 km from the airport and has no parking. Kermasti is very crowded and commercial. The room was large, in the back of the hotel so it was reasonably quiet. It was clean with a balcony overlooking the yard of the house next door. The owners/staff were very polite and helpful. During our tours we have paid 3 or 4 times as much for rooms that were far inferior.
