"best hotel we stayed at on our entire trip!!"

We LOVED this place! The room was extremely clean and large (especially by European standards). We went in September so it wasn't too crowded and I felt it was well worth the price. We looked out right on the water (30 feet) and the bed was very comfortable. We stuffed ourselves daily at the free breakfast, which was a great spread of Greek and non-Greek foods, but SO good! We ate at both their restaurants (same menu, so it's actually more like 1 restaurant) but we really enjoyed it. We went to watch the Greek dancing at the restaurant one night, which was one of our favorite things on the trip. We found out there's a free bus transfer to/from the port (look for Petinos Hotel, it's the same owner) The location in Plati Yialis was perfect. 10 minute bus ride to town, but a great beach right there with the option to take water taxi to Paradise Beach, etc. My only complaint about this hotel was that they don't have chairs on the beach for guests so you have to eat lunch at one of the tavernas and then they'll let you use their chairs for free. (go two tavernas down for the best) We also witnessed all the female waitresses having a loud argument at breatfast and felt they were a little rude at times, but felt all the guys at the Greek restaurant were super friendly.

Great location of the hotel near the beach. Breakfast was included in our price. Breakfast was great - all verities included... it was fresh and very filling... The only catch is this hotel is slightly away (10-15 mins in bus) from Mykonos main town/downtown... but the good and convenient thing is there is bus stop just outside the hotel if you need to go to Mykonos town... I will stay at this hotel next time I visit Mykonos
"Far from town but close to nice quiet beach"

The hotel was pretty and well kept. However, my lovely room had a soft pillow but a bed that was truly rock hard ! I left with a backache. I had read another review that said beds were hard... Umm it's not an over exaggeration ... I checked underneath to see if maybe they were on the wrong side ... Nope just really hard. So, if you like a soft or not hard mattress this is not the hotel for you. Far from main area but had nice quiet beach directly in front of hotel. Internet spotty and only available in lobby pool area not rooms.

Me and my fiance stayed at the Kosmoplaz in May 2012. We had an ocean view room which is definitely a must if you stay at this hotel. I don't recommend staying here unless you get a room overlooking the ocean. It is really what makes this hotel so amazing. The room was ok it was a great value. It had the basics. Don't eat at the hotels restaurant, eat next door, it's cheaper, better service, not pushy and the food was in bigger portions and it was good. Theres a liquor store to by chips, beer, water or anything else you might need right next door. You have to pay for the chairs at the beach but me and my fiance found a loop hole. We got to the beach around 9:30 and there wasn't a single person working so when they started charging for the chairs they didnt ask us for money. The hotel does not allow you to bring drinks into your room. We did, every night, we just put it in a back pack and brought it up. You have to check your key in at the desk every time you leave, I don't know why but it not that big of a deal. The bus station is about 300 feet away. The manager was a bit overly nice, but since when is that a bad thing? We stayed 5 nights after we just finished Santorini, we would have done 6 nights in santorini and only 3 nights in Mykonos If we could go back.. Don't stay to long, there is only so much to do. This hotel is the better of the hotels on the island, I recomend this hotel to stay at, but not to eat or lay at the beach in front of. Also its close to everything.

Overall very satisfied with the hotel. Possibly overpriced, but everything in Greece is during high season. My only major complaint would be that though they knew my husband and I were on our honeymoon they hadn't provided anything above and beyond, like a complimentary bottle of champagne or dessert, or anything of that matter. So not a place to go if you want special treatment but a great location on the beach.
"Nice rooms away from the action"

The hotel was very nice with a good breakfast buffet. Our room was large and clean with a nice balcony. The staff members were helpful and friendly. The private beach was nice. The hotel is located about 30 minutes from the island's main town so it can be a bit of a hassle to get into town. There is a free shuttle bus but the times are not that helpful.
