"great place away from all the tourists"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 9, 2012
Great little hotel! We were there in early September, so it was the off season and not too many other guests there. The pools were very good and the hot tub was pretty nice when it cooled down. We went to Naxos to avoid the touristy areas and we found this place very relaxing. It is far from town and has cows and goats right next door, but this felt more like the Greece I was expecting, rather than Mykonos or Santorini. The free breakfast was very good, as was the restaurant for dinner. However, you'll have to drive to find other places to eat. We really enjoyed the taverna just down the road with all local foods. We took a taxi to the hotel to find it (about 30 minutes from port) and then the next day, Yanis helped us get a great rental car delivered. The whole island really needs a rental car to just drive around. There's a nice little beach down the road from here and Plaka Beach (our favorite in Greece) wasn't too far. The room was very clean and the entire hotel staff were wonderful. My only complaint was the bed was too hard and it would have been nice to have wine glasses in our room enjoy wine on our cute little balcony.
"quite reasonable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 5, 2012

"Great vacation !!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 19, 2012
The hotel is run by a wonderful family, parents, sons and grandchildren. It is in an ideal location, a few meters from St George's beach and a five minute walk from the port where all the restaurants and stores are, as well as the central bus station. An excellent breakfast is offered in the mornings in the veranda of the hotel. The owners are available all day and evening to help you out with any kind of information about the island. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are cleaned every morning and they are air-conditioned.I had a great vacation and I am recommending this hotel very strongly for a pleasant relaxing vacation on a beautiful Greek island.
"Check your junkmail!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 31, 2012
Once we found it, we really enjoyed our stay. Just so you know, google maps and hotels.com do not have an accurate location as of right now. But, if you decide to stay here check your junk email. The man running the building, son of Irene herself, sends you an email offering to pick you up. Just email him back to let him know when you will be arriving and it will be much easier for you than it was for us since we didn't think to check the junk email. While there we enjoyed the homemade treats baked by Irene and the nicely equipped kitchenette which made our stay even more affordable. Plus it is close to the bus stop, grocery stores and less than a 10 min walk to Old Town. Very comfortable and affordable, and extremely accommodating. If there is something you need, chances are the need will be met. If we ever get the chance to come back to Naxos we will definitely stay here again.
"ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 30, 2012
If you want a "personal" experience, then you HAVE to book this hotel! Maria and Yannis (owners) made us feel at home. Special breakfast, with recipe's handed down from generations greeted us every morning (at no extra charge). Rooms were immaculate, well kept and excellently maintained. Wi-Fi made it easy to keep in touch with home, and nothing was refused. Maria even offered cooking classes and to take us to her family's garden/farm where we could pick fresh fruit. TIP: RENT A CAR for this island!!!! There are rental car agencies at the port when you get off the ferry. The hotel is a short drive from town (about 5 minutes) and close to all the popular beaches. The ONLY negative thing I can say about this hotel is we had a "wobbly" table at breakfast and had to put a sugar packet under one of the legs to keep it level. Yes....I had to go THAT far to find something negative. Awesome hotel, outstanding hotel owners, and a trip to Naxos without booking here would have been a loss for us. Thanks to Maria and Yannis (I'm sure I've spelled his name wrong), we even received a bottle of wine from Yannis' small vineyard! I cannot say enough great things and after spending hours upon hours researching hotels in Naxos, take it from me this is THE best you will ever find!
"Awesome place, awesomer staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 27, 2012
That's right - I said "awesomer."
"Cozy, cute, great value, family owned"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 12, 2012
This family owned small hotel is a great choice for Naxos on a budget. Very helpful and genuine staff/owners, good location, a few minutes from the port, easy to rent a car and explore the island (really a must).
"Great hotel with amazing view!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 19, 2012
The manager put us in the room on the top floor (the roof) and we sat every night on the rooftop balcony to watch the sun set. It was an amazing view! Probably the best on the island and the hotel is close to everything else - the beaches, the restaurants, bars, shops, etc.
"Close to the beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 18, 2012
The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach. Free wifi is available in the lobby, but you can get it in your room if you are close to pools. The dinner was surprisingly tasty as it did not taste like local food. There are not much views from the hotel. To get to the town, you need to take a bus or taxi as walking is too far. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a good stay.
"Complicated rating"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 29, 2012
Overall my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. You have to keep in mind that it is an old location and so you will not have modern comforts. Some of my ratings were on the old stylings but do not reflect our being unhappy with our stay. We really enjoyed the old charm of the place and the view cannot be beaten. The main negative was all the steps getting to and from but if you are adventurous as we were then you will have a great stay.
