"Beautiful hotel grounds"

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I love the grounds of this hotel with water features and grounds with beachfront location and also varying pools. We paid for the buffet breakfast which is great at this hotel. This hotel is located in Nusa Dua which is a quiet relaxing area with many hotels nearby.
"Great stay at the Melia Benoa!"

My wife and I spent 10 nights here and it was really a superb stress-free time.
The staff were very helpful, kind and willing to assist in whatever way possible.
The hotel's Balinese architecture is beautiful. Landscaping is well designed and meticulously groomed. Especially enjoyed the water garden area, complete with resident turtle, many fish and the occasional heron.
The beach is superb - cleaned daily with lots of lounges and umbrellas available The pool is well maintained, with a great swim up bar. There was also a kiddies pool that was adjoining. Handy, because the main pool was deep for little ones. A large area around the pool could be rather shady for a lot of the
day. If you're interested in full sun all day, then head to the beach.
We booked an executive suite that included a buffet breakfast. When we arrived, we were offered the all-inclusive options but passed, simply because we enjoy trying different local restaurants and do not drink much. Otherwise the $55 US per person per day may be worth it to some people.
Our suite was spacious, bright and very clean. Had 2 bathrooms!
The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day. Lots of choices, many different fruits, juices, pastries, yogurts, cheese, hot dishes including bacon, sausages, Balinese and Indonesian offerings, pancakes, omelette station and very good coffee. After 10 mornings, we were still not bored with
All in all a great resort for a great price.
"Great location Poor management"

The location was great. The Hotel was beautiful, if you could see past all the kids! Doors were slamming all night and all day. Free internet a joke. Families were using both terminals at one time to check Facebook!! Hotel should provide free WiFi and limit time on computer provided.
No coordination between front desk and activities. Didn't even know about activities planned.
Elevator still out. Inexcusable!!
Place demonstrated a lack of management interest.
Food was very good, but designed for all inclusive. Staff was great in Restaurants.
Forget about quiet massage on the beach. The bale was next to a watch vendor and towel station and they jabbered all the time!
I paid a bargain rate and got what I paid for. Other hotels were a bit more expensive but demonstrated more concern.
"Nice hotel with good beach location"

The hotel's location was right on the beach. However, if you are looking for a nice quiet beach, Nusa Dua is not for you. This is a very busy watersports beach, so during the day you will hear the sounds of motor boats and jetskis. The hotel grounds were nice, and the hotel itself is relatively small for Nusa Dua standards, so it is more private feeling than other locations. The rooms are kept clean (although there did seem to be a fair number of ants around) and comfortable. The hotel will gladly hook you up with a driver to tour Bali during your stay and the various ramadas on the hotel property/beach are excellent locations to just kick back and relax. It's not five star, but for the price it is a good deal.
"Relaxing and Calm Hotel"

It's a nice cute authetic Balinese style hotel, they have staute and a small temple on site. I loved the free breakfast buffet, the privacy, and how relaxing everything felt. Most staff there spoke English and those who didnt always found someone who did. Most cab drivers also spoke english, some better than others. We remained by the pool for the most part because the beach area was too hot even with shade. The ocean there isn't really for swimining, more like a splash too cool off, they have a breaker for currents so I think it would be safe for non swimmers. The beach there is better for walks and sunset dinners. I loved just relaxing and doing nothing. The TV kinda sucked they did have HBO, one of the 2 english channels... the bad thing is that half the time the movies were in other languages, and the other half was in english with subtitles. Kuta beach was much prettier, the sand was whiter but I would not stay in Kuta. Kuta is for like young single people, its very busy, tons of people trying to sell you stuff and has a pretty good night life. I went for my honeymoon so again Nusa Dua was a better fit. We did end up going to Kuta twice since it was nice for short periods of time. Its like 20 mins away and a $12 cab ride.

The grounds are lovely. There is a lot of walking around, but I found this very nice. There was some trash on the beach and in the water that took away from the experience some--but it was much cleaner on the weekend. The food at the hotel is quite pricey, and only decent for the cost.
On the weekend you need to get up early to get prime spots on the lounge chairs by the beach. It was a little easier to get a spot by the pool.
