"Great stay at the Melia Benoa!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 12, 2012
My wife and I spent 10 nights here and it was really a superb stress-free time. The staff were very helpful, kind and willing to assist in whatever way possible. The hotel's Balinese architecture is beautiful. Landscaping is well designed and meticulously groomed. Especially enjoyed the water garden area, complete with resident turtle, many fish and the occasional heron. The beach is superb - cleaned daily with lots of lounges and umbrellas available The pool is well maintained, with a great swim up bar. There was also a kiddies pool that was adjoining. Handy, because the main pool was deep for little ones. A large area around the pool could be rather shady for a lot of the day. If you're interested in full sun all day, then head to the beach. We booked an executive suite that included a buffet breakfast. When we arrived, we were offered the all-inclusive options but passed, simply because we enjoy trying different local restaurants and do not drink much. Otherwise the $55 US per person per day may be worth it to some people. Our suite was spacious, bright and very clean. Had 2 bathrooms! The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day. Lots of choices, many different fruits, juices, pastries, yogurts, cheese, hot dishes including bacon, sausages, Balinese and Indonesian offerings, pancakes, omelette station and very good coffee. After 10 mornings, we were still not bored with All in all a great resort for a great price.
"Great location Poor management"Reviewed by jerry k of "MD" on Mar 30, 2012
The location was great. The Hotel was beautiful, if you could see past all the kids! Doors were slamming all night and all day. Free internet a joke. Families were using both terminals at one time to check Facebook!! Hotel should provide free WiFi and limit time on computer provided. No coordination between front desk and activities. Didn't even know about activities planned. Elevator still out. Inexcusable!! Place demonstrated a lack of management interest. Food was very good, but designed for all inclusive. Staff was great in Restaurants. Forget about quiet massage on the beach. The bale was next to a watch vendor and towel station and they jabbered all the time! I paid a bargain rate and got what I paid for. Other hotels were a bit more expensive but demonstrated more concern.
"Great bedroom and pool"Reviewed by EK of "Melbourne Aus" on Sep 1, 2010
Everything was lovely. I've stayed in both novotel resorts, both gorgeous! Oh but this novotel spa was magnificent! We had full spa treatments done everyday!
"Lovely hotel, but not in a great location"Reviewed by Corrine H of "UK" on Jul 2, 2010
This hotel is more of a 3 and half, as the location lets it down. To be fair you can get drivers to take you to the attractions, kuta, or a free hotel service to Nusa Dua, but as there is currently only breakfast served felt a bit isolated from the main village.
