I am my wife are experienced and quite discerning travelers. We found the Bath Spa one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the recent years. It still has a flair of the mid-fifties, extremely comfortable, excellent restaurant, gorgeous front gardens, large inside swimming pool, several types of sauna. The personnel was very corteous. The price was also a good surprise (booked through Hotels.com it was far less than the list price shown on the reception). We were given a room with a living room, a spacious bathroom, a king size bedroom, very soft linen. Two small negative notes: 1) there should be a covered path to the Imperial Suites, it is uncomfortable to cross in the open air when it's cold and rainy; 2) there was a charge for internet connection in the room, this is petty and unfriendly to customers since the cost for the hotel is minimal and should not be charged to guests, as many hotels now do. Anyway, we will not hesitate to go back to the Bath Spa when returning to Bath (which we intend to).” 28/11/2009
