Needs a bit of a spruce up but for a town centre hotel with parking (rare in Cambridge) can't beat it. Wouldn't want to spend a week there but as a Launch or Crash Pad its ideal....

Our stay here was enjoyable; however, we had a hard time finding it because of the photo which is shown. We discovered that the photo was taken from the park, not the street. Trying to find it in a car was very difficult
"Convenient for Duxford Air Museum"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 17, 2012
We stay here often while visiting family in the area. It's convenient and clean. The beds are soft and saggy and the bathroom lighting is POOR. Otherwise, it's fine. Internet charge of 5 pounds per 24 hours is high considering you really only use it for a couple of hours in the evening if you're out all day. The Red Lion pub next door has free wi-fi but you have to ask at the bar for the access code.
"Nice room and good breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 7, 2012
Was a bit of a walk to the center of Cambridge but very doable. Nice spacious room, good breakfast!
"Thoroughly enjoyable stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 8, 2011
We had a wonderful stay at the Gonville. The location is within walking distance of many of central Cambridge's restaurants, pubs, and points of interest. The rooms are clean. We found the beds extremely comfortable. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the food. They serve some good traditional English grub here: steak and kidney pudding, kippers, yum! Free parking and wi fi were much appreciated.
"Stuck in the middle of nowhere."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 7, 2011
This hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and the staff was helpful. The downside is that it is part of a car service area: a hotel, a gas station, and a food court. There is nothing close by, there is no public transport to Cambridge, and a cab ride to Cambridge is about 20 pounds. Still, if you are on your way from Cambridge to somewhere else, it really is a fine hotel.
"Just loverly!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 16, 2010
The room was large and charming, with a great garden view. The staff was VERY attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we had Internet in the room as well as the common areas. Breakfast was perfect - THE freshest chocolate croissants ever!! It was a little bit of a drive from Cambridge center, but we liked the more rural location. The yellow fields of flowering plants were gorgeous! We highly recommend this hotel!
