Needs a bit of a spruce up but for a town centre hotel with parking (rare in Cambridge) can't beat it. Wouldn't want to spend a week there but as a Launch or Crash Pad its ideal....

Our stay here was enjoyable; however, we had a hard time finding it because of the photo which is shown. We discovered that the photo was taken from the park, not the street. Trying to find it in a car was very difficult
"Nice room and good breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 7, 2012
Was a bit of a walk to the center of Cambridge but very doable. Nice spacious room, good breakfast!
"It is not an hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 29, 2012
Regency House is a pleasant guest house. The location is perfect and the rooms are nice. but do not expect an hotel. The regency house is organized with shared bathrooms at each floors. The people managing the house are not there all day and you really want to make sure to ask them the code of the door before departure otherwise you might get stuck out. The room are nice and clean but there is not real room cleaning during your staying and my towels were never changed over a 5 days visit. Overall I would go back because it is a nice place and the location is just perfect but be it depends what you are look for.
"Thoroughly enjoyable stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 8, 2011
We had a wonderful stay at the Gonville. The location is within walking distance of many of central Cambridge's restaurants, pubs, and points of interest. The rooms are clean. We found the beds extremely comfortable. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the food. They serve some good traditional English grub here: steak and kidney pudding, kippers, yum! Free parking and wi fi were much appreciated.
"Stuck in the middle of nowhere."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 7, 2011
This hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and the staff was helpful. The downside is that it is part of a car service area: a hotel, a gas station, and a food court. There is nothing close by, there is no public transport to Cambridge, and a cab ride to Cambridge is about 20 pounds. Still, if you are on your way from Cambridge to somewhere else, it really is a fine hotel.
"Location, location, location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 12, 2010
This was a great hotel -- clean, comfortable, good full Engl[ish breakfast -- except for the fact that it is 10-15 minutes outside of Cambridge and requires a cab ride [about 8 pounds] to get into the city center. If you have a car, this is the hotel for you. Without a car, as we were, it was too far away. When the information about the hotel says it is a couple of miles from the city center, it isn't accurate. It is probably a couple of miles from the city limits.
