It's not just the staggering skyline – which features the iconic spike of the CN Tower – that makes Downtown Toronto such a thrilling place to visit. There's also Yonge-Dundas Square – bathed in neon and the glow of animated billboards, it's the city's answer to Times Square. Jumping bars and clubs await on King Street West, and then there's the PATH – stretching over 28 kilometers, it's the world's largest underground shopping mall.
A city in itself, Markham is revered as one of the tech capitals of Canada – in fact, it's been likened to Silicon Valley. There's history to be enjoyed here as well, though. Markham Museum is an open-air site spread over 25 acres where you can explore perfectly preserved historic buildings. Another thriving community is Richmond Hill – its dozens of public parks make it a perfect place to relax.
Some may think it a suburb, but North York has its share of gleaming high-rises and the vibe can be like that of any busy city. It's home to Toronto Centre for the Arts, a cultural hub where you can catch blockbuster shows and avant-garde plays. The nearby city of Vaughan is where you'll find the epic mall, Vaughan Mills, a place you can easily spend a whole day shopping.
Immaculately preserved, Industrial Era buildings house boutiques, bars, and restaurants in Toronto's charming Distillery District. You really get a sense of the city's history even as you enjoy the artisan bakeries and contemporary art galleries that now exist among the old tank houses and warehouses. Perfect for a wander on a sunny day, the area is also the setting for numerous street festivals over the year.
Combining small-town charm with the bustling attractions of a city, Oakville sits on the cusp of Lake Ontario – you can have an amble by the gentle waters, watch the yachts bobbing in the sun, and relax in a bar or café. If you want to practice your swing, where better than Glen Abbey? Designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus, it's one of the most revered courses in Canada.

I rated room cleanliness lower because I saw some cookie or bread crumbs on the carpet. The air conditioner/heater could only be adjusted with a remote control which I didn't find in the room, but the front desk had one. The hotel is located in Chinatown which is next to downtown - a short walk. That's close enough for me as I'm familiar with the central Toronto area. Streetcars are right out front and the subway isn't far. I got a great room rate rate, too!

Love the lobby restaurant, Casey's, locatioin very good for me as I work all around the region. Rooms are OK, decent, Front desk staff does a good job but kind of quiet. Not a lot of personality but then this is NOT what I come for. So in all I have stayed here when working in the area for the past 8 years.

We rented a two bedroom suite for a family vacation to Toronto. The room was clean, but does need some updating and repairs. The kitchen was adequately equipped to prepare meals and the furnishings were in decent condition. The living room could have used a couple more comfortable chairs. The location was great and within walking distance of either the subway or shopping.
"Charming and a very good value. Close to subway."

The staff was very accommodating on many levels. On our second night our room was too hot (December trip) and they moved us to a room where the ac worked. The bathrooms have recently been renovate and are very nice. One note, this is NOT a fancy hotel. There is no place to put anything in the bathroom or in the room. No dressers, no closets, no hooks. This was a bit awkward but other than that, the place is nice. It has charm and ambiance. You also cannot beat it for the price. Breakfast is included as well. I will stay there again.
