"beautiful hotel but some problems"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
This is a beautiful hotel, inside and out. We stayed in the Hemingway room which is outstanding in its decor. The problem was that there was no closet for hanging clothes, no refrigerator and just an opening to go into the bathroom, no door. The toilet is right next to the opening so all sights, sounds and odors are experienced throughout the room. This would not be a problem if there is just one person in the room, but with two it can be embarrassing. The staff are very friendly but not too helpful.

"Nice Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
This hotel was in a good location and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with arranging tuk tuk rides and bus tickets. The room was clean, but the concrete floors made it look dirty. The shower knobs did not function properly and the A/C unit in the room did not cool it off adequately. The daily breakfast was very tasty.
"Enjoyable stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
No elevator yet. Rooftop cafe is nice.

"a good option for work or holiday"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 9, 2013
Complicated logistics because of the ceremonies surrounding the cremation of former King Sihanouk and street closures, but the hotel coped as best it could. A street with several restaurants, a barbershop and massage services but not Bangkok style hustling as is the case with parts of the Riverside area. The hotel brought a desk to my room so I could do work on my computer with greater ease.
"Beyond Excellent Service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 9, 2013
This hotel is a MUST if you stay in Phnom Penh!! Our 1 day stay was meant to break our travel from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh. However, we arrived the day before the King's memorial procession when 5 million people were expected to attend a parade through the streets before being cremated. The Blue Lime's fantastic location was also in the area that was shutdown for the big event. Our hotel staff were quick to help us find a bus for the next day to get us out of the city and make it to Vietnam and fly home. It took 3 attempts to secure bus tickets at 5:30am. Due to the early departure and the unlikely ability to find a driver to the bus station, the hotel also had a tuk tuk stay overnight in front of the hotel so that we could get out of the closed area before the ceremony began. They offered to pack a breakfast, but we opted to let reception sleep rather than to disturb him when leaving. Without the phenomenal and very patient support of hotel staff during this unusual and sad Cambodian ceremony, we would have had to alter our plans. The hotel is a retreat from the city--tucked away from busy streets and down an short alley. It is not marked on the main road so we had to ask several times before we found the correct address. During our short stay, the hotel also arranged a sunset cruise to the Mekong River. My only regret of the entire trip is that I did not book an extra day at Blue Lime.
"Really nice modern hotel, not a great locale"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
Wonderful hotel in excellent condition. Very well maintained. Large rooms. Friendly service. The only small complaint is the surrounding area. Its not exactly in the nicest part of town. I felt perfectly safe. Its just a bit of a longer walk, taxi ride to most of what you want to see in Phnom Penh.
"great hotel, great price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 3, 2013
we really enjoyed our stay here. we had been at the Royal Palace Frangipani prior, which was also lovely, but offered different pros. The 90's villa room was nicer in ways, with a great big window and cozier feel. The location is good, if you want to be away from the tourist center. Still walking distance from the Russian Market and other areas of town that are fun to explore. b'fast was not as good as at Royal Palace, and it was generally less busy and quieter, which we wanted. Better deal also, again if you're up for not being in the center. staff was helpful with directions, booking bus tickets, etc. strongly recommend.
