Skopelos Village Suite Hotel
"A 'welcome' break !"

My husband and I booked a week in a junior Suite. We just wanted a nice hotel in nice location where we could relax. We took the Flying Cat from Konstantinos which took 3 hours. We arrived at 10:30pm and knew that we could walk to the hotel. Be aware that the hotel reception isn't 24 hours - it closes at 11pm. It would have been useful to know this when booking - if we'd decided to stop for a much needed beer, we might have been sleeping by the pool on the first night !! If you are going to be late arriving, just email the hotel before and they will wait for you or leave a key at the restaurant. The junior suite was on 2 levels with a large bedroom with furnished balcony upstairs. plus bathroom. Downstairs there was a large lounge area with another furnished terrace and a well equipped kitchen. It was like a little house and we had fantastic views (Room 2) over the sea and island from both levels. It was also very quiet at night so we slept really well. There are 2 pools and plenty of sunbeds and nice facilities around the pool and the staff just leave you alone to enjoy the peace. We were B&B so had breakfast outside each morning on the restaurant terrace. The food cold be a bit more exciting for a hotel of this standard but it was adequate. Too many people taking food away for later consumption spoiled the 'up market' feel a bit for me ! Overall a very nice hotel in an excellent location if you are happy to stroll along the sea front into the town.” 09/09/2008
