"Awesome hotel - Oasis in a sea of poverty"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 14, 2013
I was in India on business for 4 days. This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was great, from service, to food, to my room, and the very thorough security. It made me and my colleagues feel very safe. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
"Excellent location for Gurgaon companies"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 31, 2013
Very comfortable - great service at the restaurants. One example: I was trying to dash out for a meeting and tried to get a quick cup of coffee and a muffin. The staff was very courteous, swift, gave me a latte and a muffin, waived any payments and sent me on the way.

"A Study in Contrasts"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 16, 2012
The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff very friendly. The price of the room terrific. But the food and beverage pricing is high. India is an extreme between wealth and poverty. Gurgaon is brand new, 5 years ago was just forest. There are spectacular office buildings, each with a dramatic and unique architecture as if each is trying to out do the other. There are apartment complexes that look like Las Vegas hotels both in size and architecture. There is construction everywhere. But each is a compound unto itself. It's not like you can go out for a walk in a neighborhood either commercial or residential. And right in front of these places the roads are all broken up, people living on the side in hovels or tents. Wild pigs running around everywhere. Cows of course. There are additional taxes that can be 30%. If the alcohol is imported there is a 30% tax. I ordered a martini which and the gin listed for about $10, but because it had 2 shots, they counted it as a double and with tax it came to $28. And the problem is you can't just go somewhere else. There is no where to go. The guy who owns runs the gift shot is terrific, a genuine nice guy. He would not take advantage of you.

"Great hotel - pricey but more than worth it"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 28, 2012
Absolutely wonderful. Pricer than other hotels in India but actually quite inexpensive compared to what I would have paid in US for the same quality. It has everything you need - fitness center, pool, restaurant, lounge, and the kitchen will even make special meals. Lovely hotel and excellent service.

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Staff was very attentive, room was nice, and location was convenient to metro, etc.
"Ibis Gurgaon - Not Paris or Oklahoma City?"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 20, 2012
Did not cross my mind that this is the same Ibis I use when visiting the Paris berbs. Rooms in Gurgaon are much larger and more comfortable than in Paris. The restaurant is also much less congested - but the food is more American than French or Indian. Keep in mind that Accor owns both the Motel 6 and Ibis chains. Management style is not that much different between Ibis and Motel 6! The Ibis (truly much beyond Motel 6) is a safe clean stop for a suspicious western traveler but lacked the Indian food and ambiance I like. The visit was worth the look at the bathroom. It is a wonder of modular construction! It is a precision but surprisingly large plug in unit worthy of a first class john with shower in an Airbus A380. Looking for something similar for the lake house!
