"Stay at a working estancia in Patagonia"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 31, 2013
Kau Yatun is a perfect way to experience a working estancia in Patagonia. It is off the main drag, but 4 blocks to the center of town. There are sheep, birds, mountain views and gardens to enjoy on the property. The hotel restaurant has good fare, and the breakfast was hearty. Our room needed a little help with plumbing and bed availability, but, all in all, our 2 night stay was a real patagonian experience. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
"Clean, cheap rooms in a noisy hostel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
The room was clean and in good condition. Close to the main area. Excellent, friendly staff. Breakfast was simple: bread, milk, cereal, coffee/tea, milk, juice. The only downside was the thin walls and noisy common areas outside the room.

"Nice but far"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 8, 2013
Very nice hotel with good breakfast but location was quite far from town. THey provided an infrequent shuttle which was fine but the short cut to town was through burr infested fields.
"Great Place to Stay in El Calafate"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 2, 2013
Great place to stay in El Calafate. Nice Hotel. Excellent Service. The staff made you feel at home. The manager helped us in many ways. She was really the best ! She helped us with our tour problems. She secured a car for us when everywhere we tried there we none available. She made sure every detail of our stay was taken care of. The hotel is situated on a hill a short distance from town overlooking the lake. It has a spectacular view. We will stay here again when in El Calafate.

Beautiful view of the lake; far superior to the view from any of the hotels in town. Great spa. Surprisingly great food in the restaurant. Like a lot of hotels in Argentina, terrific service. However, just be away that the hotel is about 6 mins from the downtown area via a dirt road. But it's easy to get a taxi so not a concern in the end.
