"Halfway up the Mountain"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 18, 2012
Betsy's Hotel is simply the most affordable, western style hotel in Tbilisi. Everything looks new and renovated. The terrace is a great place to enjoy breakfast, with its view of the city. The pool is small, but comfortable. There are no kitchens in the room, despite the description on the website, but there is a mini-fridge (mini-bar) and running water in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, GREAT water pressure in the shower, and toiletries were more than adequate. The HDTV had lots of channels broadcasting in English, Russian, Georgian, German, and French. (I say lots in comparison to other hotels' selections. Really it was about 20 total channels). The bar was stylish, and the breakfast excellent (again, in comparison to other hotels in the city). The little coffee corner was a highlight for us. It's connected to Prospero's Books on Rustaveli Ave, and had a full selection of cafe drinks and sandwiches for the same prices as in the big store. It even has some books available for purchase. I'd be happy to stay at Betsy's again!
