"Great room!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 15, 2013
While this place was difficult to find, it ended up being a great quality place to spend the night! The beds were soft and comfortable, the entire place was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was especially nice. While the woman running the place does not speak English, we still seemed to manage with communication just fine. All this for a great price and location very close to the Ponte Vecchio, with easy access to the city by foot. Overall, a great stay!
"Best location at the center of Florence!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 14, 2013
We were no more than 10 steps always from the Duomo and center of all that was happening in Florence. We walked everywhere from our bed and breakfast. The owner Gullglio spoke beautiful English and helped you every way possible! It was like having a small apartment type bedroom where you can come and go as you please!
"Overnight stay in Florence"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 14, 2013
We only stayed there one night and got a spacious two bedroom suite. We did not use any of the amenities in the suite - kitchen, dining area. The liviing room and the two bedrooms were spacious and warm (it was January). Quick note - when we checked in, the desk clerk said the breakfast (which was WONDERFUL) was complimentary. When we checkout out there was a bill for two breakfasts for 50 Euros or about $70 dollars. Had I known the breakfast would cost $70 I would have gotten breakfast elsewhere.
"Excellent location and flawless staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 2, 2012
Close to everything you could want but still quiet and relaxing. Customer service outstanding. Awesome staff who did everything they could to make sure you were comfortable.
"Charming, Luxurious, and Out-of-the-Fray"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 13, 2012
The villa was charming, the host wonderfully welcoming, and our room was far more luxurious than we expected for the very reasonable price, but it was the unbelievable bathroom which was nearly as large as the room itself which blew us away: it was so modern, beautifully designed, and cooler than cool that we felt like we were in a palace. The villa itself is in a residential neighborhood that's an easy walk from the town center -- it's GOOD to be out of the fray at the end of the day. We can't wait to come back.
"Great boutique hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 7, 2012
We loved staying at Ponte Vecchio. First of all, the location is wonderful. You are a close walk to the major sights. The hotel is a few steps from fabulous restaurants and the people at the hotel are very friendly and gave us really great suggestions on where to go and what places (restaurants, museums) needed reservations. We'll be back!!

"Great value and quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 1, 2012
Finding a reasonably priced hotel in Florence is a challenge. I found this place and noticed that the major complaint was that it was a 20 minute walk from the major sites. This was fine with us as we love to walk. In addition, the hotel is located off the street down a short driveway, so street noise was minimal Street noise can be significant in Florence. The room was large and had a lovely window looking out over the garden. It was raining while we were there, but it was nice to have a connection to nature in the middle of this very urban area. There was a small safe right in the room so we could lock up our passports and other valuables. We had free wifi right in the room. The breakfast was not quite as nice as some, but for the price, the fact that breakfast was included was a plus and the coffee was good. The staff was very helpful. We received an email the day before our arrival asking about our approximate arrival time. This was reassuring. When we arrived they helped us carry our luggage upstairs, suggested local restaurants, provided a map of Florence, explained where to catch the bus into town, and arranged for a taxi to the airport.
"Feel in love with the city and loved this hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 28, 2012
We were suprised upon arrival to find that there was no lift but Ms Betta had her son come down and help with the luggage and the stay only got better from there. We loved this place and its owner!! Very homey. Large room with a good sized bath room. Any questions we had, Betta gave us all the answers and information we needed. Bus routes, Museum info and anything else we needed. Breakfast was good and we got to know the other customers staying in the Guest House during it. The entire attmosphere was comfortable and homey feeling. I would absolutely stay here again!!
