"Excellent Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
We are very satisfy with this hotel. It is located in 5 minutes walking distance from Florence central station. Excellent restaurant next door with 10% for hotel guests. We stayed in one of the unit with kitchen. There are supermarkets nearby. Breakfast is buffet style with many choices. Hotel staff is very helpful. They even helped us to print out train tickets when we purchased on line. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we went to Florence again.

close to the train station, central market, beautiful churches and restaurants. the room was small but good for the price. hot cuppucino was included for the breakfast.
"Centrally located to all attractions"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
Loved this hotel. So convenient from the train station to walk to hotel. Located near all major attractions and shopping. Clean, safe and very comfortable. The breakfast was good but the extra touch were the cappacino and espresso made by the staff. Highly recommend this hotel.
"Hotel Grand Minerva"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
A very nice hotel! The room was nicely decorated, bed was comfortable, enjoyed having the ability to make coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the room. The complimentary breakfast had a great selection of items and was by far the best of the 4 hotels we stayed in during our two week trip. Great location just steps from the train station on a lovely square and easy walking distance to important sites we wished to visit. There was some construction in the area but it did not affect our comfort or rest.

"This hotel deserves more stars"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 14, 2013
First thought, this hotel deserves more stars. The staff was extremely helpful and very, very friendly. The hotel itself was fantastic. The room was huge, and furnished with beautiful antique furniture. The bathroom large with marble floor and a huge tub. The foyer was painted in old world tradition ornamentation. There is a nice sitting area in the lobby with computers for guest use. There is a lounge on the first floor where you could relax, chat with other guests, watch TV or read one of their many books on the area. The location was within easy walking.distance to many of the sights. The buffet breakfast was excellent. I simply can not think of anything about this hotel that was not positively excellent !
"Wonderful but lots of street noise"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 7, 2013
We decided to stay one night in Florence as our flight out was very early the next day and booked at the last minute. Location was perfect, we encountered at least three staff members at the front desk and all were extremely helpful. Our cab was set for 4:45 a.m. which the desk clerk offered to book when we checked in. She also offered have a breakfast ready for us even though we were leaving before scheduled complimentary breakfast. Great location and while not a luxury property is suited our needs and was clean. We booked a room for three adults (traveling with my sister and another friend). Three grown ladies and the room was plenty big with very high ceilings and large bathroom. King bed plus a very nice queen sofa sleeper was all set up upon check in. Our only complaint was the pedestrian noise. We were in room 42 on the street side. I would request a room across the hall next time. Perfect for us as we just needed a quick few hours to sleep. I would recommend and stay again. Note - the lobby is up a full flight of stairs for check in. One very small elevator to accommodate maybe three people. We were happy to walk the stairs. Bellman took our luggage up and upon check out front desk clerk carried bags the 1/2 flight from the elevator to the cab. He also had a wonderful breakfast to go in a bag with juice, yogurt, fruit and a bit more that I didn't get a chance to go through before we hit the airport. Perfect for our needs and the price.
"Wonderful Stay in Florence"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2013
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mediterraneo. Although it looks like it's a bit of a distance from the train station it was about a 10 euro cab ride. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from downtown Florence and we enjoyed making the stroll every morning and evening. The hotel was very courteous and helped us find a restaurant we were looking for and also called us a cab after we checked out. The hotel even had a TV channel or 2 in English which was nice. If we make it back to Florence we would definitely be staying here again.

Great.Rooms a bit dated, although comfortable-but the service was incredibly good-remarkably so. We still talk about how wonderful they were.
