"Better than we ever could have hoped"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Our stay at the Hilton Doha was better than we ever could have hoped. The staff was extremely well-trained, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast in the mornings was amazing, delicious, and full of all kinds of options. It was so plentiful that we ate breakfast mid-morning and didn't need to eat again until dinner. The private beach, though small, was very well kept, and the beach lounge chairs were some of the most comfortable we've had. It's a new property, so everything is lovely, including building, pool, and spa. The guest rooms were VERY spacious and well-equipped. We highly recommend it, and we're very choosy about our hotels . . . It's a 10-minute walk from the waterfront corniche (where we walked for about an hour each day - fun!) and a 10-minute walk from City Centre Mall, which had loads of stores, cafes, restaurants and a large grocery store.

Great hotel but bad location.
"Comfortablebed"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2013
I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was. Proximity to airport was important. Staff was very helpful! Will stay here again.
"Needs parking room"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 3, 2013
Parking was a gamble. The water in the room was too hot then too cold without touching the faucet, but other than that, the hotel is in a convenient location to walk to the souqs and many other places. The surrounding area was undergoing a lot of construction though. Good night's sleep for a great price and internet was free and fast and included multiple smart devices. Breakfast was also included for the low rate with a pretty nice offering. We didn't leave hungry.
"Great Location for Culture-Seekers"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 20, 2013
The Swiss Belhotel is in an excellent location. You are a short and safe walk to the main "souk" market area in the city, local neighborhoods with interesting food options and coffee shops, and the Museum of Islamic Art. The airport is not far and the corniche, the walk along the oceanfront, is nearby. The food in the hotel is average and the booze is really expensive -- but you can get beers in your room at any time -- day or night. The carpets are a bit run down but, all in all, this is a very clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again. Plus, it is a little less touristy than some of the fancier hotels in the newer part of the city, which, I really like!
"Close to most of the sights, bath tub to relax in"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 11, 2013
I was looking for a place to relax in and this had all the comforts to do just that - a comfortable bed - a big tv - a beautiful view - a bath tub and a wonderful hotel staff. Thanks for the getaway.
"Perfect budget hotel for Doha"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 2, 2013
I decided to stay at the Lavilla hotel based on it being the cheapest result in the search results. For the price, you cannot do better! Overall, I was very satisfied, the room was clean, service was very helpful, and it has a great location for sightseeing. Yes, the free breakfast is awkward at best, and this certainly is not a luxury hotel. The immediate neighborhood looks dodgy, but the touristy section of Doha starts less than a half block away, the souqs, museum, and corniche are a leisurely walk from here. Regardless of the neighborhood looks, it's Doha - you're not going to get in trouble. The hotel has it's own transportation, which was nicer and cheaper than the local cabs.
