"Beautiful location;"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 25, 2011
Lovely moden stylish hotel with fabulous views and location. Most of the staff lovely as well; a few acted as if they were doing you a favor which for those prices is inexcusable. Also access to the beach difficult and beach itself ok but small and very crowded in season so that we ended up at the pool more than the beach (and the view from the pool is spectacular) so that I would probably choose it again over most of what else is available.
"Food"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 7, 2011
Although we loved our stay at this beautiful hotel in Porto Cervo, we must be honest about the food we had. It needs improvement. Some of the foods we had on the dinner menu didnt have the quality of being freshly made. The menu did state some of the food made be frozen which was unusual for such a higher class hotel but some of the items were tasteless, and tough. However, the breakfast buffet was very good. We would very much like to stay at the hotel again as it very beautiful and everything else was perfect.
"Nice hotel, somewhat poor service (rude)"Reviewed by David M of "New York" on Oct 19, 2009
The hotel is very nice, having been built only 3 or so years ago. Architecture is nice, rooms comfortable and clean. I was very impressed with the breakfast, which offered everything from champagne to made-to-order omlettes, all included. For the Porto Cervo area, it probably offers the best value of any of the hotels i saw online. A beach is very nearby, and is quite nice actually. But the staff were not very friendly. We even had an incident where we were blatantly overcharged for massages, contrary to a price list in our room. They failed to do anything about it for almost two days, and then on the early morning when i left they conveniently had "lost" the price list. Pretty frustrating. Food and drinks are a total rip off, but so is everything in the Porto Cervo area.
"Very comfortable stay"Reviewed by J Smith of "London" on Sep 28, 2009
Hotel wasnt what i expected we travelled with a toddler and i was quiet concerned following other reviews about room size, well we had a double sea view room and it was perfect, lots of space for baby to run around and play and for us to relax. Of course it wasnt huge but for a 3 night stay was perfect. The hotel staff are very friendly and try there best to make your stay very comfortable. The hotel is in villa style and there are lots of stairs, not really a hotel i'd recommend for people with walking issues. Overall beautiful hotel but location (Caniggione) is not very excitting infact boring nothing to do there so i'd recommend car hire and go explore the area.
