"Nearly perfect and inexpensive"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
The hotel was a great value. The room was bright and clean. The linens were clean. The bathroom was spotless. Housekeeping did a great job. The room was a bit small but we were really only ever in the room to shower and sleep. The hotel provided hot tea when we checked in and a delicious breakfast each morning. The room was a bit cold but that is typical in Cusco. The bed was always warm at night though thanks to the blankets and a hot water bottle provided by the hotel. It was a bit of a walk from the main plaza but a cab ride was only about 2-3 dollars. I would definitely stay there again.
"Extremely Beautiful Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
What a beautiful hotel! We had a little issue with the airport transfer upon arrival (there was some miscommunication and they did not pick us up, so make sure to email your travel information and get a confirmation) but with a bit of explaining, the hotel made up for it and we were happy overall. The courtyard and overall layout of the hotel is just so pretty. Our loft room was interesting and really nice, and the breakfast was excellent as well. Everything was clean and well put together. There is a bar/tapas restaurant located there too that provided some entertainment for us also. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and had a great experience. It is towards the top of town, so if you can't walk uphill to get home from the main areas, then that may be a problem for some (but not for us).

The staff was helpful in obtaining taxi for tours and recommended a great restaurant, Limo on the main square, very good! Room was clean. Absolutely loved the chocolate left on the pillow for evening turn down, but was completely spoiled with the hot water bottle to warm the bed, loved it!
"A decent place with great staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 17, 2013
The Sonesta was an above average hotel considering the price. I arrived several hours early and they allowed me to check in right away. The staff is awesome, always trying to help you. Some say this location is too far from the Plaza but I say that is what makes it better. Plus it's only a 15 min walk
"Highly recommend"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 31, 2013
Great location and service - located in Plaza de Armas. Staff was very helpful and most of them knew English. We canceled our plans to Puno (because of the weather) and stayed two extra nights here. This was the most relaxing part of our trip. Highly recommend.
"Home-like feeling with humble service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2013
We stayed there one night on our way up to Machu Picchu from Lima. We had arranged with Mercedes for a driver to pick-us up at the airport in Cusco. We also had Mercedes arrange the driver service to go the following morning to the train station in Poroy and a pick up service the following evening on our way back from Machu Picchu, and lastly drop off service the following morning from the hotel to the airport. Many details of the itinerary where exchanged all in one email and to our surprise everything worked out seemlessly. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, genuine, beautiful people, kind, warm, caring, and they made us feel very welcomed and appeared really happy to have us there. The hotel itself is charming, rustic, simple, and there is an indoor patio/garden with beautiful flowers and birds. We all had a wonderful experience. The only easily forgotten issue we had was the low end bathroom. There is only a shower curtain separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom so the whole bathroom floor gets wet while you shower making it unpleasant to use until it drains and dries. And the hot water takes a while to get warm. Without a doubt, when considering the asking rate for the night, this is truly a great deal.

Hotel staff were very curtious and helpful. Most spoke English well. They were having some trouble with their WIFI and it was intermittent. Best breakfast of all our hotels in Peru
"Cozy bed and breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
A very nice and cozy place to lay your head. If you're looking for a low price, with a good breakfast included you'll love it. They arrange a shuttle from the airport and to the train station. Very nice people and close to the markets and main attractions in Cusco.
"Best Staff Ever!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
The staff was unbelievable. After a crazy travel experience taking 25+ hours and losing my luggage we finally arrived at Yanantin Guest house where we were greeted with great smiles, light snacks, and some tea. Without knowing it, my friend and I were given a two room suite to stay in. The staff was unbelievable helping me locate my lost luggage. They even went to airport themselves to pick it up during our two day trip to Machu Piccu. It is one or two blocks away from being an ideal location, but that very slight inconvenience was worth it. Plus, taxis in Cusco cost basically nothing, so if you don't feel like walking you can treat yourself to a cab. Overall a great experience.
"Excellent!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 22, 2013
We stayed here our first night before our train ride to Machu Picchu, and then 2 more nights after our visit to MP. The hotel is small, very cozy and the hotel staff was very accommodating. Plenty of hot water for showers and the beds were pretty cozy especially for us who just returned from 4 days in the jungle. While it is not at all like a "chain hotel" it is very quaint and comfortable. The security at the front door made us feel very safe and almost like were in our own little haven. It's a little bit of a hike, but certainly worth it. Love the colors and the decor! Would definitely stay here again!
