"Pensioners, teenagers, busloads galore"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 3, 2012
This is a clean, comfortable, central hotel which offers value for the money, but I found myself feeling a bit inundated by the unending constant flow iof busloads of holiday pensioners and sixth form cricket players seeming to always be checking in and out. This is not a hotel for a young couple, unless they have their kids in tow, or for a businessperson. That being said, if you don't mind the demographic, it's a nice place.
"Excellent property"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 31, 2012
Hotel is in a great location and if you've got a room facing St Aubin's bay then you'll not be disappointed. Hotel has a really nice terrace overlooking the marina which is an excellent spot for drinks and food, overall too the staff are excellent and super friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
"Inn Botique"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 7, 2012
The Inn Botique Hotel was very modern and clean. The only problem was that it was located on a very busy street with loud automobiles during the day and somewhat better during the night. The double paned windows did not allow much noise reduction. The staff was very understanding. The breakfast was fantastic! It was a popular "pub" for local people in the evenings.
"Americans in Jersey"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 6, 2010
Americans traveling to the Channel Islands can add up in prices. There are no hostels and if you don't want to go camping, going on the cheap is a little difficult. However, this hotel was excellent. There were 3 of us, so we were upgraded to a family room. Continental breakfast is included so you save money that way. Also, if you don't feel like going in the salt water, there is a nice pool in the back. We loved this hotel and if we go back to Jersey then we would defiantly go back. The quality and staff were great.
"Long weekend in October"Reviewed by J Waters of "South Wales" on Oct 19, 2009
We went for a weekend break with friends from Sat to Tues inc on B&B basis, this is the second time we have stayed at the Merton and It was even better than the last time, both double rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was up to standard , plenty of choice and buffet style which we all preferred. General rooms at the hotel were excellent and staff most helpful. Lunchtime bar menu was varied and good value for money. The Merton's indoor pool is great and to be able to swim outdoors in October was so enjoyable. I would recommend the Merton to couples and families.
"Great Location"Reviewed by N Hathaway of "Epsom" on Sep 2, 2009
Pomme D'or is a great location. Walking distance to the bus station, harbour and all the shops and restaurants. Good inclusive breakfast and free internet access in reception. The room was clean and comfortable but the executive rooms are small, so imagine standard are even smaller. No safe in the room which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Would recommend and stay again.
