"Close to the airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 26, 2013
It was close to the airport, which eliminated traffic as a risk factor. Travel by taxi or hotel van was arranged, and it was on time. It is not close to any sites, services or alternate dining. I would have rated it higher had I only stayed there for one night. Our flights were delayed by one day due to scheduling changes, and there we were, away from everything for one full day. We found a gas station/cafe/convenience store a couple blocks from the hotel, where we stocked-up with goodies. Otherwise, 5 euros for a can of pop and 18 euros for a hamburger were the going rates. The accomodations were "ok".
"Great Location for Heading Home"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 1, 2012
In preparing to return to the States after a trip to Rome, I always feel anxiety about getting up early, and getting to the airport without any problems. Finding Sleep & Fly Rome alleviated these anxieties. I was able to travel from Venice to Leonardo De Vinci Airport the day before my departure. I called the the hotel, and they gave me a number to their dedicated airport shuttle service. After a little confusion, I located the service. Surprisingly, though I was told that the service would be 15 euros, I was actually only charged 10 euros for the five minute trip from Terminal 3 to the hotel. Luca is the owner of this brand new property. He is a young man who has a great understanding of what it means to be a good hotelier. His English was good. One does have to climb stairs to get to the rooms. My room was modern with all the conveniences one expects at a modern hotel, including wifi. I will definitely make Sleep & Fly my staging point for my next return from Rome.
"First Part of Two Week Stay in Italy"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 16, 2012
The hotel is easy to miss on the outside as it is surrounded by a wall but as most everything in Fregene is surrounded by walls, I realized it was not that unusual. Just was hard for cabbie from airport to find. On the outside, the hotel looked a little dated but the room and staff dispelled any doubts I might have had. For a small town hotel across from the beach, I liked the location. Right outside the hotel was the local bus stop to take to train station to ride into Rome and the hotel front desk staff were very courteous and helpful in explaining the bus route/train schedules to one who had never traveled by them before. In two days we were old hands at train travel. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey I thought at first but the food was excellent and delicious. I had the fish and was not disappointed. During our trip, there were times when we paid more for less. Their rooms seemed very modern despite exterior impressions, memory foam beds and we could not stop commenting on their rain-style shower which was really cool. I did find their beds extremely firm but I do not like memory foam beds to begin with so I dealt with it. One thing that was a negative in my mind was the A/C. Could not figure it out. I am one of those blokes that like things nice and cool but it was not my first trip to Italy and I know A/C is not a thing for them as it is for us in Texas. The nights were cool so we opened the patio door and stayed nice and cozy.

We were there only one day and it had a rain storm all day. Our room was nice but because of the storm we didn't have a chance to check out the area.
"convient to the airport with a shuttle service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 14, 2012
We were glad we chose the Mach II. We had a nice meal at night and free breakfast in the morning, with a great variety of food choices.
"Great Proximity to the Beach/FCO Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 10, 2012
Chose this due to price and proximity to airport, but was delighted to discover it was two blocks from the beach. 1/2 mi -1 mi to great seafood beach restaurant! Our room was small, but clean and comfy. The breakfast selection was very unappealing. Great stay for budget conscience, no frills. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, and spoke English fluently.
