"Stay here. You'll like it."Reviewed by Scott H of "Alameda, CA" on Feb 22, 2012
Price was right. Room was comfortable. Parking was on the curb right outside the front door. Location was GREAT! Only problem: No English language TV.
"Hotel Seraesole - a little out of the way"Reviewed by Joseph S. of "San Diego, CA" on Nov 2, 2010
I chose this hotel BECAUSE it is a few miles outside of Olbia where it is quieter, but I made a mistake by not renting a car as well. They advertise that they are near all the rentals - bikes, scooters, etc. However, all of these things are found in Olbia, so if you don't have a car to get to Olbia, you have no access to these types of rentals. We still managed to hike a few miles to a very pretty beach (Capo Ceraso), but we would have had access to many beaches with some transportation. Other than that, you're basically looking at a handful of restaurants in the vicinity and that's it. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Some things, like the pool and some fountains, weren't kept up very well because it was off-peak and we were pretty much the only people in the hotel anyway. The staff was great. They're all friendly, they all speak English, and one of them even broke into the bar after hours to steal us a bottle of wine (and charge it to our room, of course). Just make sure you rent a car and this place is excellent!
"The Nicest Hotel in All of Olbia"Reviewed by Kaitlin A of "New York" on Aug 7, 2010
This hotel is amazing! The staff could not be any nice. They were always helpful. From the people who cleaned the rooms, to the front desk people, the care that goes into this hotel is amazing. I felt like home by the first day. I can't say enough about this hotel. I can't wait to go back. I just advise to get a car if you are staying there because it is a little bit out of the way from Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo.
"Very nice hotel hidden away but in striking distance of everything"Reviewed by P Foulkes-Arellano of "London" on Sep 7, 2009
The hotel is hard to find, and after winding down a hill in the dark, almost impossible to see. The hotel has parking for 6 cars, hidden from view! The rooms are basic.. Barely 3 star, let alone 4 star. This is no Sheraton or Kempinski. Breakfast is extremely basic. No hot food, nothing special. Having said all of that, the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is incredibly overpriced for the facilities, and the only benefit is the location.
"Great hotel quiet and peaceful retreat"Reviewed by T Merry of "London" on Aug 12, 2009
This is a great hotel that is well worth the money. But don't be fooled by the Porto Rotondo location because it is ten minutes by car up a sharp hill and will cost you 20 euros each time. That's not a problem because the hotel is in a lovely secluded spot; but if you're expecting to spend the day / evenings in Porto Rotondo, that's more tricky...
"Hidden Gem on the Costa Smeralda"Reviewed by G Pickup of "Leicester, England" on Jul 14, 2009
I stayed hear with my partner in June 09. And we had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel is ideal for the Costa Smeralda (a HIRE CAR is needed), with plenty of secluded and wonderful beaches within 10mins. The hotel even provides a free bus to the most popular beach though. The staff were friendly, even though it seemed there was almost as many as guests. The pool and surrounding area were all excellent, clean and well maintained. We didnt eat in the hotel, except for a buffet breakfast. This was up to any 4* European hotel, and the morning staff were very friendly which made it more enjoyable. The room - we were lucky enough to be upgraded, and had a room with a sea view. Very comfy bed, plenty of space and a nice modern bathroom. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definetly recommend to anyone wanting a nice hotel in a WORLD CLASS location.
"Nice for a few days"Reviewed by K Sheehan of "LONDON" on Jul 9, 2009
Stayed for 3 nights in a room on 4th floor with sea view balcony. Room was nice, bathroom small but not a problem. Nice pool and grounds - the hotel was quiet so that helped. Breakfast buffet was as expected. Main disappointment was evening meal. Buffet starters were fine, although as noted by someone else did not seem to get topped up. Main courses uninspiring and bland and deserts not good except the icecream.
