nice hotel for what we paid however would not pay the rates they charge for summer months. Asked about the excercise room and sauna and was told where it was. The problem is that it is owned by a private club and as a result was not open. WIFI cost money and is the slowest internet you will ever have (standard for Europe it seems). Breakfast was good and plentiful. Grounds were very nice.

"Great place to stay!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 9, 2012
This is a very nice apartment. However, just beware that the pillows are lumpy or thin. In fact, we found hard beds and lumpy pillows to be the norm all over Portugal! Bring some dishwasher tablets, laundry soap (I put some in a 3oz bottle). I wish I would have brought dish soap as well. Oh, bring you own suntan lotion! The smallest bottle (about 3 oz) is almost $15...crazy expensive! We had a car, which I think was the smartest way to check out the whole area. The beaches are amazing especially near the point. There are great boat rides to the grottos, take one to show you where all the great beaches are for about 10 euros per person. We had a great 4 days at this hotel! The only improvement I could suggest (besides the pillows) is adding a hot tub to the pool area. That would have made the stay perfect!

I paid for a regular room and they gave me a suite with the full view of the sea. I loved it!

The front desk staff were very helpful. The hotel is in a great location and is close to everything. The roof top deck has a great view. I liked the local radio station music piped in through the TV. The continental breakfast was average.
"Overall Nice place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 21, 2012
The resort is very spacious, has an enormous pool and wonderful views. The breakfast was great and the location in Lagos was also very good. I was dissapointed in the level of service, especially at the pool. Once there were no towels, another time I waited 20 minutes for someone to get me a drink, but the worst was the lack of chairs & umbrellas for a pool this size. I had asked a pool attendent to get me three chairs and an umbrella, he said "no problem", after waiting 15 minutes, i asked one of the waiters to check, 30 minutes later neither were seen. I subsequently found my own chairs from people who left. When we compalined to the front desk, we were told, they went to lunch!
"Fantastic spa hotel, very modern"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 10, 2012
My wife and I absolutely loved the hotel and, more importantly, the staff. The service was fantastic, everyone was polite, and many of them went above and beyond their call of duty to help us when we had an unexpected issue come up. It may have helped that we were traveling during the off season and the hotel wasn't full, but nevertheless, we found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. Their recommendations for activities were spot on. The hotel looks very modern (a little futuristic with the expansive white marble lobby and alternating coloured lights in the angular hallways). The room was comfortable and chic, and the bathtub in the middle of the room was a delight! The only downside is that the hotel is not in the middle of Lagos, and required either a 10 minute bike-ride (recommended!) or 5 minute drive to get to Lagos. There aren't many options for restaurants in walking distance to the hotel besides the one in the hotel and two at the beach (but they were decent). My wife and I had no problems whatsoever getting to Lagos to explore and to be in the middle of everything, and on some days we chose to go to the wide open (and almost deserted!) beach across from the hotel for solitude and privacy. We loved this hotel and our time there. For your information, we were vacationing in the end of May, which is off-season, and we found that to be the best time to travel to the Algarve.
"Great value and very nice staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 1, 2012
I booked three nights here just to see if I'd like the hotel and location, since I've never been to Lagos before. For me, I like being 5 min outside of the downtown area since the noise on Saturday night could be more than I'd want to deal with while on vacation. The apartments are clean and have most amenities you'd find in a 3 star, not so much a 4 star hotel.. No carpeting and the twin beds were a bit hard, but due to the activities, I could have slept on a bare floor each night. Yes there are a few maintenance issues, no light in front of the door, pool chairs with worn out sun shades, and not having screens for the sliding door allowed in mosquitoes every time I walked onto the balcony, even if was just for 30 secs or less. Other than that I thought that the staff was very helpful and nice and I hope to return here soon.
"Paradise and Affordable!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 15, 2012
Highly Recommend this rental. Your own private feeling oasis with panoramic ocean views, a pool and large covered deck. Fantastic low price for the location. Stayed four nights. Restaurant on level one is affordable and has a free computer. Pool is large and has seperate childrens pool. Fully stocked kitchen, but no oven. Supermarcado only a short walk away. Follow footpath along ocean for more amazing views.
"superb value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 9, 2012
Incredible ocean view from our balcony. Sweet hosts. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Well-kept garden and pool area. Quiet neighborhood. Delicious breakfast came with our room price, and the dinner buffet at their restaurant was a great value too.
