"Hotel U Kocku"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
The hotel was in a great location, under 5 minute walk to Old Town Square and Orloje, and a 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. The food was okay and you get a 20% discount at the restaurant as a hotel guest. The staff was not as friendly as I would've liked, but they weren't rude either. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
"Great Value. Cash Only."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 13, 2013
I love the location and the price. It was clean and I would definitely stay there again. They wanted me to pay in cash, which I wasn't prepared for and had to exchange some additional funds. Breakfast was really good. Lots of variety and LOTS. Internet was okay. Connection quality was often not good enough for WIFI-calling.

"Fabulous Location!!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 3, 2013
I enjoyed my visit to Hotel Melantrich very much and loved that it was a two minute walk to the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square and so close to just about everything you'd want to see in Prague. And only minutes away from the Mustek metro station. The only thing to be aware of is the hotel is in an apartment building so the entrance is a little strange especially on a Sunday when I arrived and the restaurant in their basement area is closed. The entrance was completely dark and the hotel sign wasn't lit up but I could see the flag above it. It's right after the Zebra Sushi restaurant which is easy to see when you get out of the metro. Anyway, don't get worried if the entrance is dark just walk down the short hall, open the wooden double doors and it will be light in there and then walk up the flight of stairs to a small flight of stairs (there is a large sign for the hotel just follow.) But I was nervous at first but it's really very safe once you realize it's a lobby entrance to a building with families and children and when the restaurant is open most days it's brightly lit. It can be a bit noisy being in the center of town and with the restaurant below but really the location and the hotel it self is great for travelers who are out much more than in. It's very clean and staff spoke English and very helpful. I would stay again.

"Old Town Square out your door"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
Wonderful apartment, the service was really great! It's a little rustic with spartan furnishing, but you can't beat the location. Watch out for those stairs!
"Good Way Station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 25, 2013
After spending a week and a half in Prague, Bratislava, & Vienna, we decided to grab a low cost hotel before out flight out. It was off the beaten path for tourists but was a quick bus and/or taxi to the airport. The place seemed to have an near the highway rest stop vibe for road travelers. Spartan yet clean, the only downside was the room smelled a little too pungent from cigarette smoke. Otherwise, well worth the price.

Great connection between hotel and downtown. Room was comfortable and well priced. Best breakfast I've seen in a European hotel.
