"Nice hotel - better than first appearances"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
The hotel under-promises and over-delivers -- which is good. But it still is only "better than average" and not exceptional.

"Good Effort, Good Breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 13, 2012
A great effort was made toward a western standard hotel in an Arab country during Romadon. There were English newspapers, English TV channels on a flat screen TV which they had to show me how to opperate and a great western breakfast served free in the room during the fast! They had some difficulity with the paperwork but eventually sorted it all out correctly as to what I had agreed to pay when I reserved it on line. The location was on the other side of the airport from the old city and city center. It is a long taxi ride to tourist locations, but it was near the sea in a nice, typical little community with a market, some resturants and small supermarkets. If the location were better, I would stay these again.
"a hotel that works"Reviewed by corey e of "doha, qatar" on Nov 10, 2011
I stayed here for 3.5 days during my recent trip to Muscat for Eid. I live/work in Qatar as an ex-pat so I am quite familiar with the Middle East and what to anticipate. I was there for tourism and hiking, so all I required was a basic hotel room. This hotel was located just outside of the city but close to a nice beach area with shops and restaurants, and about a 4-5 OR cab ride to central Muscat. The hotel did not have detailed maps of any sort, but with a guide book you should be ok. Noise in the area was minimal and the room was very basic for a stop over here. If you are expecting a 4-5 star hotel, this is not the place for you.
"Nice place"Reviewed by Ahmed Ta of "Houston" on Sep 3, 2011
It was my first time in Muscat and first time in the hotel. The hotel is new, the rooms and amenities were really good, the staff were helpful and courteous. I liked my stay there. thanks
"Lacking ammenities"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 4, 2011
For a 5 star hotel - don't expect any consistency with what they will put in your room from day to day. 7 days and I think we had (and lacked) things in 7 different ways!
"A nice treasure in an intemate city"Reviewed by Ali A of "Qatif, Saudi Arabia" on Oct 15, 2010
The hotel is conveniently located close to everything that you would want to visit in Muscat city and close by cities. The staff and management were nice and make you feel as if you were the only guest. The room was clean and nicely furnished fully lined with marble and natural stone tiles. The breakfast was good for a three star hotel. The neighborhood was quite and mostly residential. You would need a car to visit touristic places and shopping malls.

Very clean and nice hotel with good staff. For people traveling for work, it's very convenient, calm and well located between the airport and the rest of Muscat. The internet is for free and fast, which is that common in the region to be worth noticing. And even if the wifi signal can be poor in some areas, the staff kindly shares ethernet cable to have a fast connection in your room. Small but very well equipped gym with brand new machines. Overall very good stay for a quite reasonable price.
