Outstanding service, especially from the daytime reception person. She always went out of her way to help us with any request or question!
My only negative was the odor on the 1st floor wing where we stayed the 1st night. There was a sewage smell.

This is definitely a 4* hotel, but superb quality and excellent position in Jerez. Beautifully designed and well furnished with very comfortable beds etc.
Location was perfect for the old town. We found parking easy. The hotel has space at the back, but we parked outside the front on the street easily.
The public spaces in the hotel are excellent, with exception of the terrace, which is tatty with cheap astro-turf and poorly maintained. The plunge pool looked ill-kept, although we are out of season. This was the only down side.
Food in the restaurant was excellent. Waiter very helpful and friendly. Worth noting they don't start serving dinner til 8.30. I was told by a stern receptionist this was 'too early to eat'…although they appear to shut the public entrance (behind the hotel) to the restaurant at 9.30! Breakfast is set menu: cold meat, bread and pastries, fruit juice and coffee, but was lovely and had plenty to eat.
They helpfully recommended a good bodega to visit and would phone and book a tour for you. By contrast we were told 'we don't provide that service' when we asked for help with our luggage!!
We had a suite at a good price - about 2/3 of the rate card. I'm not sure it would represent best value at full price, but felt that overall it was very good value for what we paid. We normally stay in a 5* boutique hotel and this was the nearest comparable place in Jerez. We didn't feel we'd made a big compromise and would stay there again.

While the room itself was not top-notch, the hotel itself had everything one might ever need - 2 large pools with plenty of chairs, spa, golf, tennis, restaurant, etc, etc. The service was good as well and, together with all the amentities, made our stay very enjoyable.
