Overall, a pleasant stay. Very close to the airport, perfect for layover stay. Only 15 minutes by taxi. Excellent service by all staff. Very pleasant. They had a tray of apples waiting at the room upon arrival. Will return when opportunity arises.
"Splendid. A True Gem In Cairo"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 1, 2012
Amidst the bustling city that is Cairo, in the Garden City area, lies a splendid oasis on the banks of the Nile, Kempinski Cairo Hotel. It is truly a home away from home, offering guests luxurious accommodations at a fracture of the amount you would easily dole out elsewhere. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, super buffets and restaurant food. close to airport but in a desert of surrounding attractions, restaurants or shops in the neighborhood.

I do not recommend the breakfast at all. It was below my expectation even for a 3 start hotel. Poor Internet access in the evening, unstable wireless signal. Very small lobby area. If you have any business there you may end up waiting for a seat to become free for a very long time.. Everything else I think was very good.
