"Excellent family hotel if you don't get up early"Reviewed by Ivan V of "Naples, Italy" on May 20, 2010
Great location. Able to reach the hop on hop off bus pickup and Malta city busses in minutes. Minutes to walk to burger king/mcdonalds/hard rock Cafe. Minutes to the beach. The hotel had four swimming pools. One .2Meter kiddy pool and one .8 meter kiddy pool, and some larger, deeper pools for big kids and adults. Rented a large refrigerator for 3.50 a day. Great location. Only detractors are its in a great party location, so one Friday night we were woken up at 4am by returning revelers, and when we got up to catch an 8:40 pickup for the Hop on Hop Off tourist bus, there were still people drinking in the bars and fresh puke on the sidewalks behind the hotel.
"Nice roof swimming pools with view"Reviewed by M Jones of "London" on Sep 23, 2009
Very good location - near to shopps, restaurants, and sea front. Nice roof swimming pools, overlooking the bay. Good value for what you pay.
"Adequate and overall Satisfacrory"Reviewed by S Armstrong of "London" on Aug 11, 2009
I've read a few harsh reviews on the Canifor however this hotel represented excellent value for money. It's well situated near the coast and on top of the bus terminus and amongst bars/shops etc. Rooms are a bit small and the hotel itself has all the facilities you need although they are a bit 'worn out' Food was decent enough with plenty of it and ample choice (cooked breakfast every morning bacon, eggs, sausage etc) The dining area was a bit hectic and packed out at times due to it lacking space. Overall if you want a good base with good food, location and you plan on actually doing stuff on holiday then The Canifor is a great choice but if you are the type that likes to hang around the Hotel relaxing a lot using the facilities and entertainment then the Canifor is probably not for you (the pool and outside area is not really up to much)
"Loved it"Reviewed by D Johnson of "Manchester" on Jul 20, 2009
We visited the same hotel 2 years ago and although not a lot has changed cosmetically the hotel was still a lovely place to stay, ideal location, staff extremely friendly and polite, food excellent, and hotel extremely clean although could possibly do with a little updating. This may be in progress at the mo because the indoor pool and jacuzzi was closed while we were there however this did not detract from our stay at all. would definitely return again for a third time with no hesitation whatsoever.
