The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We arrived one hour early but they checked us in anyway. The rooms are clean although small. The breakfast was excellent and they give you an option of Continental Breakfast or Scottish Breakfast. We chose the Scottish Breakfast which consisted of sausages, egg, toast, and tomatoes but was still able to help ourselves with the Continental. The staff also went out of their way to pack us a breakfast one day when we had to leave really early for a tour and couldn't make breakfast which was between 8 AM and 10 AM. Excellent location. The B&B was really close to public transportation but beware if you do not plan on taking a taxi from the bus or train station. The hotel is located on top of the hill so there are a lot of steps to climb from the street. The Market Brae Steps or the other side street steps are very hard to climb especially if you have luggages. Overall, this is a very nice B&B that exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay here again.
