"It was Ok"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
Nothing fancy, but the hotel is adequate and the price is good compared to what else is available in Nairobi. I'd stay there again.
"historic hotel with gardens in the middle of Nairo"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
Our stay was absolutely lovely. The hotel booking site had incorrectly booked us the night after, but luckily the hotel had room for us and gave us a free upgrade. They also provided a locked storage area for our valuables. It was clean, quiet, staff were exceptionally nice and the food was divine. The ambiance was lovely with the colonial style architecture. There were guards at the entrance and security seemed very safe. I will stay there again on my next trip.

/we stated in a room that was next to the pool. It was lovely with a patio and greenery. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great!
"Transit stay en route to Zanzibar"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 14, 2012
My wife and I were meeting up in Nairobi after a 3 months job-induced separation and we had to overnight in Nairobi before flying to Zanzibar for the vacation. ~$25 cab fare each way is no fun, but same problem with any of the Nairobi hotels, since there is nothing at the Kenyatta airport. Arrived around 9 PM, staff was friendly, booking pre-paid and no hassle. Room was clean, bed was comortable, shower was hot with plenty of towels. We hired a cab to drive us around downtown, as the location is a bit far to walk in an unfamiliar city at night. Staff forgot to make a wake-up call for our early morning departure, but they did have our take-out breakfasts ready for us at reception. Overall, good hotel; I'd have been happy with a clean no frills place at the airport--some enterprising Kenyan should see that opportunity and make it happen.
"Good value for the money"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 12, 2012
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Kenya Comfort Hotel. That said, it is not a five star hotel and those who come expecting the Ritz will be disappointed. The staff however is generally helpful and friendly and you are likely to get an authentic Kenyan experience as opposed to a bland generic hotel chain experience. The restaurant was interesting and more locals than guests seemed to eat there during our stay. Our room was somewhat noisy, but after all you are in the city center of Nairobi. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room that is away from traffic.

Nice neighborhood and comfortable accommodations. Used hotel for quick stay before flying out early following morning. Plan to leave early for airport depending on flight time as traffic gets hectic anytime after 7 am. Walls a little thin, but gated hotel felt safe and was very comfortable & clean.
