"Nice hotel. Farther from town than described."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2013
Rooms are very clean and nicely equipped but quite small. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. Location is the main drawback. The description makes it sound like it's in town. It is easy to get to..right off highway, but it took us 20 minutes by car to get to old town. Parking at the hotel was free, and the nightly price for the room was good. There is free coffee next to the breakfast room. We ate at the restaurant one night. The food was very good. There is nothing around the hotel except a gas station next door.
"Noisy but convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 28, 2012
Perfect location, very clean, friendly staff. A lot of noisy youngsters in the corridors (returning from bars at night?). ALL sounds heard from neighboring rooms. Good breakfast but when leaving in a hurry, I realized only afterwards that no receipt was given for breakfasts which were paid separately. Strange practice.

"Great Location!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 10, 2012
A great location, no need to rent a car or take a cab. If you arrive by train go outside the bahnhaff or train station into the travel info. center and buy a 24 hour train/tram/bus ticket along with a map and train schedule. Tram #5 will take you within 1 block to the hotel. The cab fare from the train station to the hotel was reasonable, it is probablly better to take a taxi first so you can get your bearings after that you can use the tram #5 or #23 this will get you to the main parts of Heidelberg including Bismarkplatz and the train station. The hotel is an older building that was totally redesigned and updated to todays standards in the interior, very modern and well done. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very spacious, good water pressure in the shower, very clean with good room service. The hotel provides a free breakfast for most plans. The restaurant was great! Good service all you can eat European buffet with plenty of differnt types of bread and coffee, cafe alate or expresso with plenty of fresh juices. I highly recommend this hotel!!

This is the only European hotel where we washed our clothes and it was not expensive. Only 4 Euros per load (it was always 2 loads). All other european hotels charged seems like 10 times more for same service. Location is great because it is close to train station and walk distance to old town. Negatives: nearby drunks have a place to spend their time and can yell load at night at each other. But location is NOT dangerous - we stayed there with our child. Blankets are too small in size.TV was small in size with only few (I believe 4 channels) . One positive thing I forgot to mention is - the hotel has a lobby in a design of a sunroom. I used it all the time to meet my friend. I am glad they had it. I would recommend this hotel.
"A good value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 1, 2012
Regular hotel down the first cross street of Hauptstrasse. Good value, nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was fine.
