We had a nice visit to the Cairns area; Palm Cove was ideal location--near enough to Cairns, but away from the city. Amphora was great for our family, offering the separate bedrooms for our teenagers and including a kitchen. The refrigerator didn't work and we kept getting excuses about why they couldn't get it fixed (but it was Christmas week, so was almost understandable).

Absolutely beautiful resort; however, it seemed like all the guests had babies and toddlers. Even though we weren't there during the kids spring break and they were only at 50% occupancy, we were constantly bombarded with sceaming babies at every turn. The worst part was when we tried to enjoy the balcony one evening but there were costant screams below from the pool at 8:00 at night. The hotel wasn't willing to quiet them down despite our request and late hour.

Loved the location with regards to the beach. First room was too small but we upgraded to larger room (4x) for only $50/day. Scott, Grant, and Rose were very hospitable and helpful...very pleasant!!

Excellent location and stay! This is the perfect place for a few days vacation! Apartments are modern and have all the amenities necessary. Walking through palm cove I would say it is by far the nicest place on the esplanade. So glad we stayed here and will be back!

The apartment was fabulous. Two bedrooms, living room, kitchen balcony overlooking beautiful coral sea. beach was 2 minute walk from the front door. The small town of Palm Cover was just out the door and offered a isolated resort town atmosphere with all kinds of restaurants. All in all the best place we have stayed in Australia on this 3 week tour including Perth and Sydney. The only down side (if you want to call it that) is that one side of the apartment is next door to a very small gambling facility. Also its hard to find the hotel from the street because it is set back somewhat from the main street.

This hotel is an excellent value in Palm Cove. Margaret is super friendly and helpful. She arranged transfer from the airport and had groceries stocked in our room. View from our balcony of the beach and Coral Sea was spectacular. The hotel is within 75 yards from the beach which is just across a quiet street. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen. Good restaurants and shops within walking distance.
