Lady at front desk was not very nice. She did not pay attention to us when we came in and we have to wait for her a few minutes while she finish with some her papers. She even did not tell us something like "I'll be shortly with you". At the same time people in other shift were nice and well-responsive. Overall the hotel is clean, not crowded. It is located pretty far from Vancouver, however it's close to highway so the commute is OK.”
This hotel was great! It is located at the very end of the King George Sky Train line so it takes a while to get in to the city of Vancouver (maybe 35 minutes?) but the train station itself is just across the parking lot from the hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating. Will definately stay again.”
Very quiet hotel. We stayed mid-August and there appeared to be very few other guests. It felt a bit Hotel California: quiet, empty, adobe... But, I have to say I have NO complaints. Everything was very satisfactory: service, food, availability of public transport, facilities etc.”
Upon arrival the staff were very courteous and friendly, the room was quite spacious and clean, while the rest of the hotel was maintained in great condition. The complimentary breakfast buffet was quite nice, offering a variety of hot and cold items. The location was a decent drive to Vancouver, convenient since it was located right off the highway and compared to hotels in Vancouver the price as well as the free parking were quite beneficial. Would definitely recommend the hotel; great price, service and clean room!”
Had a great stay at this hotel very clean, quite and comfortable slight distance (30km) from downtown Vancouver but was in good neighborhood. The staff were great, good indoor pool and gym facility lovely Resturant.”
Surrey is a bit of driving from Downtown Vancouver. As I visit Vancouver about 3-4 times a year, I don't know why I have not thought of staying away from downtown. For one thing, parking is cheap $6/night versus $30/night for most downtown hotels. Also, average rate was cheaper for the quality of rooms that we got for this time of stay.”
We chose this hotel partly because the rate was cheap and the reviews were good. Parking was cheap but no free breakfast but it was available for about $10 for continental and WiFi was free and fast. Hotel very clean and modern, wide flat screen tv, stone benchtops in the bathroom and every room has a small balcony and view of the river. The boardwalk along the river was always full of people out strolling, walking their dog etc. Area had a nice vibe and plenty of pubs and good restaurants close by. The restaurant on the ground floor had brilliant food at a reasonable price. Only negatives were bed was not King Size, no microwave which I personally like, and the area is about 20km from CBD. Quick rail link is very close however and we had a car so it wasn't a problem. Always something to see on the river and plenty of shopping nearby for those who want it. Because of freeway system getting anywhere was easy with help of GPS (essential). The value for money and comfort levels were very good. Highly recommended if CBD location not desired.”
Hotel was a little out of the way, thought it was closer to Surrey. Getting in and out of the hotel parking lot took time since it is located on a street that you could not cross. The hotel did not have morning breakfast or room service until 10:00am. The hotel was clean and very comfortable.”
Based on the reviews we were not sure about this hotel but were very pleasantly surprised. The room was big, clean, and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room that were very convenient and we had great WiFi signal in our room. It is not located in downtown Vancouver, but the ease and proximity to the Sky Train is perfect. The train stop is right downstairs and you are taken right into the city. The breakfast was ok coffee and muffins - but sufficient for a continental breakfast. There is also a great coffee kiosk on the street outside and lots of coffee shops in close walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful giving us tips on the city and surrounding areas. For the price it is a room. We would definitely recommend it and stay here again.”
The showers were loud, but other than that everything was really nice. My daughter loved the pool and my husband loved the hot tub. The continental breakfast was really good. The microwave and fridge were hidden and that was nice too. All of the staff were accommodating and courteous. They all smiled all the time and were really nice.”
