"Rude service concerned about their own comfort."

The hotel gave us a wrong impression from the very beginning. It looks like they value money over their guests. The hotel advertised rooms and quite attractive price but when it came to paying the initial price was increased by 50% after adding taxes and service fees. We were traveling with a one year old baby and when booking the room I provided the information. Upon arrival we found out that there was no crib set in the room what was fixed in an hour. Unfortunately we got only the crib without any bedding (too much hassle I guess). In the room there was additional room closed for us with a note on the door that if we pay an additional fee they will open the room which turned to be a small kitchen. I whole my life I haven't experienced similar treatment of a guest in 3 star hotel. Shame that such hotel is located in Victoria. The worst thing came at the very end when our polite request of extending our stay by 2 hours in order to allow our baby to take the usual daily nap was rejected with immediate response that our room is already reserved for other guest (it was Sunday and the hotel had plenty of rooms). It was obvious to us that the excuse was instantly invented with a nice smile on the lady's face. It was the worst experience ever. On top of that many times in the elevator we run in the elevator into the room cleaning staff which behaved like they had not enough room for themselves, we felt like we are in their way. I'm totally surprised that such staff behavior is accepted by hotel guests and only we have the courage to loudly express our disappointment and mention it to the staff.”
