Arrived early and they got us into a great room that was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with a kitchenette to boot. The complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The clean and quiet location is 2 blocks from the ferry, across the street from the parliament building, and a couple minute walk to the downtown and other attractions. I will absolutely stay at the Embassy again whenever I am in the area.

Great hotel, wonderfully pleasant staff working. Clean room and close location to plenty of bars and a short walk fom the water. The only issue we had was that we were told continental breakfast was included, but all that consiste p was a couple coupons for a free coffee and scone at the cafe in the lobby. Nonetheless a pleasant trip overall.
"At least once in your life"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
Everyone must visit Victoria and spend the night at The Empress at least once in their lives. Victoria is a walkable city and The Empress is incredible and central to all the sites in Victoria. It was a short walk from the Victoria Clipper ferry we took from Seattle. Of course, you must have Tea at the Empress. In the winter you don't really need reservations but you will during the rest of the year. Only thing I don't like about The Empress and other high end hotels is having to pay for wireless internet. Victoria is not a very wireless friendly city. It was difficult to get a good signal in many parts of the city.

"Capital City Center Hotel review"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 30, 2012
Surprisingly good. The hotel was clean, in good order, easy to access, had a free parking lot across the street--not a minor issue in some Canadian towns, located in an interesting area i.e. Chinatown. The room was very comfortable with abundant towels, soap, lotion. It was excellent value for money substantially less than other hotels of a similar category or location. The only fault, which is no fault of the hotel is that it is not really within walking distance of the inner harbor area. But is definitely within 3/5 minutes driving to the same.
