"Convenience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
Hotel was reasonable for the area and close to the river, the shopping and for my wife, close to the malls. Upon arrival the air conditioning was not working but the staff quickly moved us to a similar room that worked well. The hotel is not 5-star by any means. Unless you spend your day sitting in a hotel room, this is a great value in a great location.

"Fantastic location, great value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 24, 2013
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. We wanted a kitchen/kitchenette to cook meals and the kitchen was excellent. Bed was comfortable, location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. A minor nag is the wi-fi is a tad pricey for what you get. However, if you are willing to walk 5 minutes, you can get free wi-fi in the park or the square. Would definitely stay again.

"Close to Queen Street Mall"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 27, 2012
The location is probably the best feature of this hotel. The CBD is quite small so it is possible to walk around. Except for the trip back and forth to the airport we did not have to take any taxis. As a 4 1/2 * hotel, it has seen better days and the furniture and facilities are tired and in need of updating. As hotels are generally expensive in Oz, it is still worth the money to stay here.
"Great Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 13, 2012
The Mercure was a great hotel with fantastic views of the river. Extremely convenient to museums and the convention center.
"Downtown location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 12, 2012
At first I thought I had made a bad choice of location because it is in the downtown court district and very quiet on the weekend. However, it is very centrally located for the train, banking, some restaurants, bridge to arts district. It has mixed residents and hotel guests. The front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful. Our room was on the 32nd floor and had a great city view. We had to use the sofa bed in the living room and the sun comes directly into the room at about 6:30 am. Also construction at an adjacent building began at sunrise. The bedroom is quiet and has blackout blinds

Clean, conveniently located apartment hotel. No frills, not even descent TV stations. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. One block from the train station. Nice staff. Comfortable for families.
