OK for the price, tourist area quite noisy through the night, but still not the worst location
"The nicest people in asia. FANTASTIC STAFF."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
Ok, ,so let me just say that over the last seven years i have stayed in many places all over asia, And of course you expect a certain standard of lack theirof for the budget (Cheapskate) traveller. Well this was a corner room, mini bar, windows on two sides, wrap around balcony, and yes i ordered the cheapest room on the menu. and i had a few hours to burn waiting on a flight so the Manager took me to a local tourist spot on his motorbike, FOR FREE. oh and laundry for 7 items was $peanuts. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

"Great value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
the Sunflower is a great basic hotel and the best value of the 3 hotels I stayed at. If you don't need a lot of amenities like gym, pool, multi restaurants, then the Sunflower would be great for you. Close to Ben Thanh market and easy walking distance to many places. Large and clean room. and had the best wifi of the hotels I stayed at - it was fast and secure.
"The staff are top notch!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
Everything about the Family Inn Saigon went well. We could walk to many places from the hotel/ or the doorman could get the taxi in short order. There are also a number of restaurants and services right on the the same block. The buffet breakfasts were excellent. Our group did eat at the restaurant one evening. We got there near closing time. The staff assured us it was ok to stay and eat. They provided us with excellent service with a smile! And lots of hugs at the end too! The food was very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We also used the conceirge for an event. That worked out well too!. My only wish was that they had a pool on site. But, we remedied that by paying to use the pool at the motel down the street. What puts this place ahead of the rest is the excellent staff who work there. Each one of them were friendly and helpful. They did everything to make sure our stay went well. We will definately stay here again.

"vietnam markets and sights."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
There is only two draw backs to the hotel that I could see. the first is the stairwell leading to the hotel. Anyone with bags, elderly or handicapped will find it difficult to go into the hotel as the entrance is an "obstacle". The second, although they serve a find breakfast, no one is serving coffee and it is also away from tables and normal food lines.Aside from this, I enjoyed the hotel.
"Bad decor Nice place Great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
The decor did look like a brothel. The room was very clean. The service was great. The neighborhood was the best

A&EM hotel is a great value and is located within the heart of district 1. Many great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff was helpful in suggesting a city tour, and provided good customer service for us. Recommend staying here while in HCMC. We also found it convenient to have a desktop computer in the room along with the wifi.
