"beware of "up pricing""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 19, 2012
I have stayed at this hotel a few times before, but upon arrival this time I was the victim of "up pricing" as the hotel clerk called it. They humped my room to the "VIP" floor which included lots of extra amenities, but cost a fair amount more for my stay. Didn't have much of a choice at the time but to accept it. Surprise, surprise when I discovered all these amenities come with silly rules, such as: you may have free soda, water, juice, etc. from the lounge on the VIP floor, but you cannot take what is left of your bottle of water or Coke with you to your room. Yes, if you want cold water in your room you must visit the minibar for additional costs or order room service. This is not the kind of thing I experienced on my previous stays at this hotel and honestly it is making me consider striking the hotel off my list of potential places to stay for my next business trip to HCMC.
"Clean, new and good location in city"Reviewed by Shawn T of "Los Angeles, CA" on Mar 25, 2012
The hotel looks fairly new. Grand entrance. Needs a lot of service improvements. If view is important to you, make sure you ask for that prior to check-in. They will charge rediculously if you decide to change room. Actually, everything is extra charge. Overall, being in several hotels in Saigon for my recent stayed, this hotel is overpriced and not a 5 star hotel service.
