Well I went down to GA for my sons wedding. Booked the room. Upon arrival it seemed nice. The lobby was clean. Had a couple of problems booking but got there and was asked who would be staying in the 2 double bed room. I told them it would be me and 2 sons. Asked for a room on front side of building upstairs. Given room in back. Once I complained was told they were all reserved. That was not true. Then the room was changed. Had no remote to the tv. The team said they would bring it up. Once the lady arrived she reported that the controls were often stolen and went back downstairs and invormed them that I had 5 people in the room ( only me my 3 son one of which gave us a ride over to the hotel and was the son getting married. He was not even staying. we sat on the bed and it broke. When we lifted up I was scared to sleep in it. It was never cleaned under. It was a good price but the rooms and decur are run down.
"A Stay Amid the Labor Day Insanity in Atlanta"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 5, 2012
I stayed at the Embassy Suites on 09/04 due to sheer business necessity, and because they were the only hotel with available rooms that weekend. Despite the hotel, like all in ATL that weekend, being swamped, the front desk staff were cheery and helpful. The room was great, the standard ES separate bedroom from the living room/dining room/kitchenette. The usual ES "Manager's Reception"in the evening with free drinks and snacks offered absolutely phenomenal real green, red and white tortilla chips with endless guacamole, sour cream and salsa--delicious! My one suggestion for improvement (and this seems to be the norm in all ES I have stayed) is that the room AC goes down only to 66 F...absolutely insufficient on a sweltering Georgia summer day. The guest should be allowed to choose the room temperature, not the hotel management. Without that issue, my stay would have essentially been five-star.
