"Friendly staff, good value and great location"

An excellent option for budget-minded travelers. As advertised rooms are a little old and simple, but also clean; The hotel is located in East Jerusalem not more than a 5 minute walk to the Old City (Damascus Gate); The arab neighbourhood was really nice. Lots of shops, post office and great cafes. Also if you go left one block on the main street there's a little bookstore/coffee shop which we totally recommend to wrap up your busy day. The staff at this hotel was some of the nicest and friendliest we have ever encountered. It was true arab hospitality; They answered all our questions and resolved our requests quickly and with a smile... like extra towels for a day trip to the Dead Sea; They also gladly kept our bags in a room at the lobby on our last day since we were not leaving Jerusalem until 5 or 6pm and checkout time is way before that. They also recommended a great restaurant to have dinner nearby. Breakfast is nice (juice, good coffee, humus, olives, fruit, bread, ham, cheeses, pastries and fresh eggs). So, you're within walking distance you have the Damascus Gate (entrance to the Old City), the bus station (from which you can take a 30 min. ride to Bethlehem) and the brand new light train station (from which you can go to basically anywhere else in the city). I totally recommend this hotel since is a great value thanks to its people and location.

I enjoyed my stay and found the desk clerks very helpful and friendly. The food in the resturant there was amazing variety and service was very nice, prices were very good also. I really enjoyed my visit and would definatly stay there again. The furnature was a little outdated in teh reaturant cafe area but still a nice hotel and not too far from old jerusalem by taxi. The room was very nice and clean.
