"Great price for the location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 16, 2013
Simple rooms you can cook in. Steps away from the expensive hotels at a fraction of the price. You would be hard pressed to find better.
"Great hotel, well located, excellent breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 8, 2013
The hotel was great. It has free Internet, pleasant staff, and a great free breakfast. The block it is on is a bit dark in the evening, though the hotel is well'lit. It is in the Micro'center of the city and an easy walk to excellent restaurants and parks. Room is just a little small, but well furnished and quiet. Wish there was a stopper in the sink and a place in the bathroom to hang wet clothes.
"Raul is a rock star"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 25, 2012
First, the things that could be better. It was a little bit far from the city center (though only a 10 minute walk), the wifi was weak in certain areas (which I happened to need) and the breakfast was meh, BUT the staff there were super helpful. I don't speak Spanish (note, it is really hard if you don't) and Raul and another gentleman whose name I didn't get were so helpful in making day trip arrangements and making sure I was able to get to the places I needed to go. They really went out of their way to be helfpul.
"Very pleased throughout stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 8, 2012
I had a very positive experience. I was visiting for a week and took a two bedroom room. My daughter was staying with a family for 4 months for a college program. She had the option of staying with me on any nights. She ended up staying every night, though she had been staying with a family she adored. Upon arrival, our room was a first floor double where outdoor drilling was going on. When I asked the front desk if we could have another room away from the drilling, we were given a triple on the 5th floor with no extra charge for the duration of the time there The proximity to the cafes, bus stops, shopping and tour guide companies was wonderful. the Front desk was always helpful and polite when we had questions and would call a "remise" for us when we need a taxi. Someone there always spoke some English. I would definitely stay there again or recommend to a friend. We did not use the gym.jacuzzi/spa. They looked to be functioning well. I was pleased for the price. The downstairs computers were helpful for getting tickets printed out though I had to ask a person from the front desk for some help on the website (blame my limited Spanish). The maids were friendly and I never had a problem with security of objects. The front desk was always willing to hold a suitcase or backpack behind the counter, if concern for security. (ie laptaop, though we did not have a problem). WiFi set up was consistent and easy to set up. .
"Better than expected"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 18, 2012
Staff very friendly, especially Alberto and Alejandro. Overall, hotel was much better than I would have ever thought. About a 10 to 15 min walk to Av Villanueva Arístides, where the nightlife is. Definitely recommend going there one night if you can. Remember that most in Argentina dont go out to eat till around 9 pm, Mendoza seems to be even later. Also about a 15 to 20 min walk to Plaza Independencia. So if you dont like to walk much, this is not the place for you. Definitely due a tour to Valle de Uco, and go to bodegas Salentine, Andeluna and Azul.

Although the rooms could be updated this hotel is in a marvelous location. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was good. Our room opened onto the courtyard and was very quiet as a result.A casino across the street 8 restaurants on the next block.... a quick walk to Plaza Independencia and the pedestrian shopping mall, with many outdoor cafes to choose from .
