How to get to Monterey

The main airport of the city is the Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY), while the Monterey-Salinas Airbus service connects Monterey with San Francisco and San Jose. Unfortunately, there is not a Greyhound stop in the city itself, but there is one in nearby Salinas, with plenty of hotels near Monterey suitable for a stop-over. Local bus and train services run throughout the city, converging at the Jules Simoneau Plaza

One of the most famous attractions in the Monterey Bay area is the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which houses an array of California’s rarest marine species. When in Monterey, it is also definitely worth undertaking the Path of History walking tour, which enables visitors to explore the key landmarks of the city, including the Pacific House and the Fisherman’s Wharf..

only about 10min from the wharf and canary row. stayed in room 106 and you can park right in front of the room which is great is you have a lot of stuff. nice breakfast room and it has an indoor pool and spa which was nice because it was so cold!
