With 155 runs, 29 lifts, and over 2,300 acres to play in, the resort is home to some seriously good skiing. There’s something for every ability level here, for many skiers however, the 3.5 mile long Four O’Clock Ski Run is the one to tackle. With a base elevation of 2926 meters, things get high at Breckenridge Ski Resort, luckily though you’ll find numerous ski lifts dotted around. One of the best ways to make your ascent however is the BreckConnect Gondola. The modern cable car travels over the awe-inspiring beauty of Cucumber Gulch, a thriving wildlife habitat, before making stops at the Peak 7 and Peak 8 base areas. Built in 1875, the Edwin Carter Museum was originally the log cabin home of miner turned naturalist, Edwin Carter. The preserved house still contains his enormous collection of taxidermy.

Located a 2 hour drive away from Breckenridge, Denver International Airport is the main gateway into the region. The airport is particularly well connected, serving many major destinations throughout the world. Once you’ve landed, getting in Breckenridge is best done with a shuttle service. You can pre-book a service, whilst some hotels also offer their own transfers. The town is also relatively close by to 2 regional airports. Eagle County Regional Airport is 63 miles from town, whilst Colorado Springs Airport is 110 miles away. If you’re driving into the region, Breckenridge is easily accessed via Interstate-70.
