For both however, international visitors will need to connect via a larger airport, such as LAX. If you’re landing at the latter, it’s a simple 18-mile journey into the village. First you’ll need to take a taxi to San Luis Obispo’s Government Center bus stop, before hopping on the Route 12 service. The ride takes just under 20 minutes and terminates at Morro Bay Park. The region is also reachable via the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train, which stops off at San Luis Obispo Station.
