Back in the village, the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum is a modern facility that has a wide range of art works from local and international artists. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is less than a 2 hour drive from Blowing Rock, and this busy hub has flights arriving daily from across the USA, as well as South America, and Europe. From the terminal you can pick up a rental car, or another option is to book one of the shuttles or private coach services that travel directly to Blowing Rock. The nearest train service can be found at Gastonia Amtrak Station which is about an 80 minute drive away. From here you can pick up the Crescent service which allows you to travel between New Orleans and New York City.
