Where to spend your recreation time outside of Little Rock? The revitalized Arkansas city of Conway boasts two historic districts and is a local hub for culture including an annual, summer, Shakespeare Festival. It’s also home to a huge and very popular game and fish lake and hosts the annual Arkansas Crappie Masters state tournament. If you can time your visit to coincide with the much-loved, three day, community festival known as Toad Suck Daze, you’ll have the time of your life.
The National Cadron Settlement Park, a National Heritage Site, gives a journey back in time to pioneer days with its wooden buildings prettily set along the Arkansas River. A further, glimpse of the past is had at Pickles Gap Village in Conway’s Ozark foothills.

Most of Conway’s accommodation is offered by two or three-star chain hotels and motels set along State Highways 40 and 65 on the eastern borders of downtown. Many have indoor pools and fitness facilities, and all offer comfort and good service.
Budget hotels are popular, with the Super 8 Motel set close by Conway’s university campus and Reynolds Performance Hall.

Conway’s revitalized Hendrix Addition and Asa P Robinson downtown historic districts are conveniently close to a choice of comfortable hotels and motels in the East Side.
For business travellers in a hurry, the district near the junction of Interstate 125 and State Highway 40 holds several hotels with excellent business facilities, including the Fairfield Inn by Marriott.
